“We took our grandkids (12 and 7) on an early school dismissal day. They enjoyed painting their pieces though it took a bit of time to select what they wanted. The selection was extensive and pricing seemed fair, since paints are included. We spent about two hours there start to finish. They were pleased with how the pieces came out. Staff was attentive and very helpful. Highly recommend!”

“Stayed for just a night - located right near all the shopping and 95. The rooms were clean, beds comfy and showers had good water pressure.

We tried the hot tub out… it was more like lukewarm tub and the water was murky. We turned on the bubbles and it got colder and more murky. I think the staff need to fix that.

“Outstanding layout, beautiful scenery and challenging shots on every hole. I played the Silver tee boxes and was very impressed with the efforts needed to score. Fairways are cut perfectly, greens (even though told they had been punched) rolled smooth and true. I would play here again without hesitation. The greens fees were more than fair for a mid week tee time ($79). I live in Florida and play on similar courses in yardage but never experience the sheer beauty as Potomac Shores. Try this course out and absorb the beauty and challenge, you’ll not be disappointed.”

“The Garden Alexandria was the absolute perfect venue for our cocktail hour and reception. We celebrated our wedding here in early November 2025 with 68 guests, and we could not have imagined a better place to gather and celebrate.

The aesthetic of this venue made it an easy yes for us. We were going for a very specific vibe. Rustic, winter, outdoorsy, and country. The Garden provided the perfect canvas for that vision, which allowed us to keep décor minimal while still creating a space that felt warm, intentional, and beautiful. Every detail we added felt like it belonged.

The layout of the venue is flawless, especially for a wedding our size. The space allowed the evening to flow naturally and feel relaxed without ever feeling crowded. Early guests were able to enjoy the outdoor area and play games while waiting for cocktail hour, which set a fun and welcoming tone. When the reception began, the transition was seamless and exactly what we hoped for.

The flexibility of this venue deserves special recognition. We were planning from out of town, with an eleven-hour drive, and logistics around décor and setup could have been stressful. Instead, the experience was smooth and reassuring. A huge shout-out to James, the event manager, who was incredible to work with. His flexibility, professionalism, and calm presence made a huge difference. He worked seamlessly with our day-of coordinator, and together they created a night where literally nothing went wrong. It was truly perfect.

Every detail, every space, and every moment at The Garden Alexandria exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for a romantic, rustic venue with incredible flow and flexibility, stop your search and book The Garden Alexandria. We cannot recommend it highly enough.”

“We did a one night stay with the getaway package for pets.
The hosts greeted us and made us feel welcomed to stay here. Checking was very easy. The room was clean and plenty of hot water.
Our 2 large huskies greeted the front of desk crew every time we walked by and they ended up saying hello to them everytime.
Breakfast was plentiful with a full array of food and coffee.
It is located right off the highway and there are plenty of restaurants to enjoy a walk to.
This hotel is def large dog friendly and we appreciate that and would stay again without hesitation.

“The rooms were in excellent condition and the location couldn't have been more convenient for our needs. Most of the employees were very friendly, but one of the morning front desk employees just always had a scowl and gave the impression that she really didn't like her job. We were also skipped by housekeeping one day which wasn't a big deal but was disappointing.
Overall, it was a good experience and we'll be back.”

“I absolutely love this place! As a teen that is getting into hockey I love coming here and practicing. From what I heard from my friends the food is good, although I’ve only tried the monster energy (which they are good). I plan on taking a look at the shop one day. The ice is always great its not chipped and flatten when free skate is over. The mornings it’s not very crowded so it’s pretty pleasant, but nights it’s pretty crowded but enough space to enjoy skating. For the first few months I used rentals and they where pretty decent but if you wanna actually get into skating I recommend buying used, or new skates, but make sure to look into what you need for skates. If you’re looking to rent for your first time, I’ve found the figure skates are usually the best for beginners.”

“I normally take my kids to toddler jump when I can. Last few times it’s been on a holiday and even though it’s busy there’s still plenty of room for my kids to play safely

Also, Brianna is often there and I always see her doing it all by herself. I see her man the front desk, run to help someone in the back and then sprint to the front again. She always has a great attitude when I arrive which you don’t always see at a kid’s park.”

“Well this has been an excellent experience discovering this place, ample parking place good breakfast free laundry you can buy the supplies from front desk office or use yours, I would highly appreciate Hannah who helped us book this place she was extremely courteous and kind showed us the rooms made our stay amazing smiling face greeting with kindness, she is the star of front desk office her customer service is great. I would highly recommend this place near to shopping area and good service.”

“Having stayed here several times in the past, I'm comfortable in saying that the rooms are clean and the bed comfortable.

The small kitchen area is perfect for what you need if you're going to be staying over a week.

The parking lot is a bit small and when they had contractors on site they filled the parking lot.

But the parking lot is well lit, there was no broken glass or trash.

Our only issue with this specific location was with some of their policies and customer service.

But management went out of their way to contact us, listened, understood our complaints and took action.

We had to accept and understand the reasons for certain policies, but once explained in an open dialog it was obvious this management team understood our concerns and fully addressed them.

We seldom see such rapid management action. Highly impressed.

The location is good, Plenty of local restaurants and places to pick up a few things.

“A very fun course! I did it as a foursome with the inlaws and we all had a blast. I paid about $93 for 18 holes I think? And we got two golf carts. Seems like you have to have a cart. It's not the nicest course but it was straightforward and easy to maneuver. Definitely recommend.”
