“A very colonial experience, in decor, food and of course the man dressed in period clothing coming around each table for entertainment. Food was very good, I had the roast chicken and my husband the duck, both with roasted potatoes and veggies. My martini was on point too. Only complaint is the noise level in the dining room we were in was way too loud at times. Noise on those plaster walls bounces...if you are noise sensitive, bring ear buds.”

Pretty little walk, pretty garden, but I don't think there were any buildings to go into, and no interpretation that we could find.It was nice! Especially in nice weather. Maybe not worth a drive on its own, but if you're going to Alexandria anyway, it's a nice quick stop!”

“I was truly blown away by how delicious every single dish at The Study was. As a Guatemalan, I found the creative use of Latin American ingredients and flavors in the unique dishes at The Study not only interesting and creative but also familiar and nostalgic. I love it when food takes me to a happy place. Chef Tomas Chavarria and chef Madeline Guzman can really create magic in the kitchen. Some of my favorite dishes included the kalbi ssam short rib lettuce wraps, the sweet plantain empanadas, the Costa Rican ceviche, the duck magret and achiote, the tres leches, and the coffee flan. I also loved the seasonal cherry blossom-inspired cocktail and the mocktail they prepared specially for me. I really loved the ambiance, and even though I had dinner here with friends, I think this is the perfect restaurant for a date night or for celebrating something special.”

“My choice for my Staycation. Perfect location in regards to several tourist attractions in the Mount Vernon Virginia area. My room was comfortable and very clean. This hotel has been remodeled and it shows. It's beautiful. Hotel was peaceful and quiet. I slept soundly. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The Peloton bike was a great add on. Breakfast was hot and delicious with several choices. Great stay.”

“Was in DC for family vacation and visited Alexandria. The escape room was nicely decorated and the waiting area was quite plush. Wait staff was friendly and there were 4 adventures to choose from. We picked one which is more age-appropriate and even then it was a little scary for our little one. But we had a lot of fun.”

“We had our wedding ceremony in the garden at the Lee-Fendall House and it was perfect! The garden is truly magical in May when we got married and we just had the best experience. Staff was so great to work with and we love the wedding photos from our day. Would recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful outdoor venue.”

“The rooms are very nice. I did not like that there are no ventilation fans in the bathroom. So foggy after showers. Also ridiculous that there's no complimentary breakfast at the rates you pay. A kitchen table. Lots of plugs.Nearby activities: Nothing really to do, but lots of restaurants to choose from.Safety: Lots of cameras but in the main room.Walkability: Wheel chair parking and a ramp too.”
