Still a "hometown" post office. In 17 years I've only had an issue with 1 package, which was immediately resolved.

Out of all of the post offices I have used here in Virginia this one by far is at the top. The postal employee was kind,nice,and pleasant. The service I received was helpful and I was not pressured to spend any extra money for insurance or a book of stamps. I was treated like a human being not a number. I will start going to this particular post office for all my future postal needs. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. Thank you so much for helping me.

In all my life I’ve never dealt with a Post Office as efficient and helpful as this location. They have gone out of their way to help me on multiple occasions and are polite and patient. Should be used as test case for training tbh.

After months of complaining ,I finally received a proper answer to my question by way of a phone call to this Postal branch.If your like me & are constantly bombarded with "Powhatan Today" local paper in your P.O Box. Complaining to staff won't get your problem fixed. You must call"Powhatan Today " & inform them that you no longer wish to have their Periodical placed in your P.O Box. Afterwards wait several weeks & that should solve the dilemma. ?

Recently, I had a package being shipped to my old address (by accident). The Powhatan post office contacted me immediately after receiving my email. I wish I remembered the gentleman's name that helped me. They went above and beyond to get the package before being dropped off at the wrong address. Thank you for the wonderful customer service!! Always kind and helpful Ready to show you all your options. It would be nice to have a Machine for after hours but that's not the Workers fault. I appreciate them and always get in and out fast.

Total waste of time. Ive been waiting for a package that was shipped on the 11 of December. Tracking said it would be delivered on the18th. Tracked again today and see that it was at the Glen Allen Distribution center yesterday the 18th but has now been received at the Powhatan Post Office this morning at 10:08 am. Why the @$#@ is it in Powhatan when it was where it was suppose to be In GLEN ALLEN???

My experiences with this post office have been excellent. The staff is always helpful and go above and beyond to help. Last week the employee helped me save money by suggesting a cheaper value box. He saved me over $3.00. He even came into the lobby to help me with the right box. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. I've not had a bad experience. Thank you you all are hero's.
