sorry to say, the employee from this branch has poor service and communication skill as provided on the reviews here, no wonder they're at 2 stars... i called them for one of their interest rate promotions, where the email explicitly provided you can do the promotion over the phone, and after repeatedly asking, he insisted that i have to come into the branch to open a new account with my ID. i hanged up and called another branch and got it done in 10 minutes. understand your own products better please

Terrible service and communication.My 94 year old Mother had all of her savings in this bank. She was told that she had 7 days to close her CD and transfer the funds. She got an appointment to go to this branch Dec 23. On this day they told her that she should have been there the day before (5th day). and that on the weekends and holidays they go back to the previous banking day and not to the next banking day like all other banks do! They took a big chunk of her money as penalty.They would not allow her to speak to the Branch manager and said that he was busy. I went there 0n 1-2-24 to talk to the branch manager MR. Frank. He kept me waiting in the lobby for over 1/2 hour although no one was in his office. He said that he was too busy and his schedule is full but on weekendsthe date goes back to the day before, even though on their pamphlet it states that any transactions will be on the following business day. I believe that their actions were fraudulent. Avoid this bank at all costs.

This bank I have no experience with but Generally speaking Citi is a pure joke. They have foreign exchange students that answer the phone when you call that have no idea of what they are talking about. There famous lines are “the system won’t let me”. Their phone service is pointless complete waste of time and energy. You end up the same place you started before you called. NOWHERE!!

Farah (teller) was great. She reversed a bank fee for a child's savings account. But, there was a line to see a teller while 4 other Citibank people sat idle at their desks. The $25 monthly bank fee for a child's savings account is ridiculous. There is a reason why Citibanks are closing.

Bill McKay from Reston: What are these one star reviews. They are fake. I have done banking with this branch for 20 years. They have always been friendly and professional. One of the reviews says all five ATM's were not working, which is so stupid, they only have three, and I have never seen any not working. Anyway, great bank, nice people, I highly recommend.

The worst customer service i have ever come across on all levels from the branch to Retirement accounts customer service line. Roxana Ramirez in the Reston branch came across like she didn't want to help as I asked for assistance with an IRA that I was having trouble dealing with over the phone. Asked her to mail some documents to their retirement services for me by mail which she said "no" to initially and then asked an assistant manager after looking at my account. I was told 7-10 days for it to get there and that was 03/13/2023. It has been over a month and when I call customer service they have no trace of receiving any forms at all. So now my personal info is out there somewhere and no one can tell me what happened.I tried calling the branch and again can't get through and get re-directed to customer service. My husband and I have been a priority customer with Citibank for over 30 years. Never ever have I come across such appalling service and unwillingness to assist. The Retirement customer service line has a bunch of incompetent, unknowledgeable reps that give inconsistent info. You get the run around and a different rep every single time you call and none of them have a consistent answer for the same process. I had asked the rep for their last name as a reference for future calls and was told they don't share last names as bank policy and neither can a manager call me back (as I wanted to escalate the matter) as they don't have the capability of making outbound calls.They told me to call back for the manager (Joseph) when he is available in 15 mins. When I did I was on hold for one hour trying to get through again only to get through and be told Joseph was busy and he can't help anyway but if I want to try call again in 2hrs. (Found out later they are based in the Philippines and yes they read from a script).Citibank has been our main bank for many years and I am saddened to say that we will be moving our business elsewhere. I have worked in the banking industry myself and know that customer service is held at such higher levels at other banks.

I have a home equity loan to these guys I cannot get one person to answer the phone to help me get this taken care of I have called many many times and it just says all representatives are busy nobody ever answers the phone I don't live in that City I can't just stop in what kind of customer service do you people have you need somebody to answer the phone please!!!

Went to cash a check was asked how often do I get paid, what do you do there? All while the four before me left and now it’s a long line and yet my company does positive pay so as long as that check is on the file it’s good. This not the first time they asked me question I feel is inappropriate for a bank.

Poor service, bad experience, basically smoke and mirrors. They entice you to open an account with a proposed bonus for a deposit but when time comes to pay the bonus they will make all kinds of excuses to not pay the bonus. Basically false advertising. Useless call center no one speaks English so impossible to communicate and they do not provide any service any way. As for other business services that were requested and you are told someone will call you back from so and so department and no CALL BACK! Just wondering why would anyone want to bank with a bank that is just a name with NO SERVICE!! DISAPPOINTED IS AN UNDER STATEMENT. Do not waste your time with this bank. There are other banks out there.

Cristina Lazo was exceptional!She opened my nephew's checking account.Cristina also help my nephew setup his online banking on his phone.Great attitude she talked to us like we were family.I'm also glad that she mention if he wanted to get a credit card, he did and got approved.Now he can be responsible for his own purchases.i came back 1 week later and opened a checking account for me this time.

This Reston branch of Citibank has a team member who truly shines! Roxanna Ramirez! She first took care of my daughter and I when she was having an issue with her account approx 8 years ago at the Sterling branch. Ever since that one visit, she not only remembers me and says hi every time I walk in, but she uses my name every time! I walked in last week (at least 2 years since my last visit into the branch) and not only did she remember my name, but she asked about my daughter…by her name! She has an incredible personal touch and made sure I was taken care of as soon as I walked in! Thank you for your incredible customer service Roxanna, Citibank is lucky to have you!
