The Spectrum at Reston Town Center is a nice area featuring big chain stores like Citi Bank, Verizon, and a Mexican-style restaurant, alongside a Harris Teeter grocery store. The Harris Teeter is clean with helpful staff, wide aisles, and tidy shelves. It offers a great selection of fresh meat, seafood, and produce, though prices are slightly higher. The store has an odd, split-aisle layout that some find unintuitive and difficult for first-time shopping, while others find it makes intuitive sense. The pharmacists are noted for going above and beyond. The center has become nicer with the addition of Barnes & Noble, though it is noted as having many bank branches and not an area to sit.
Went to Barnes and Nobles and the cashier was really nice.

This shopping center seems nicer now that Barnes & Noble has arrived. Nothing against Office Depot, but Barnes & Noble seems a better fit. Still way too many bank branches here. Why not add more small places to eat? I suppose that's why Harris Teeter is remodeling to add a cafe.
