If I could do zero stars I would!! The worst at communicating I have ever seen.Same as above. We are new customers with exiting tanks and have signed up over a week ago. Was told delivery would be performed and no on ever showed up. Now about to run out and its 25 degrees tonight. They sent a text saying no one was here and my office is literally beside my front door and driveway!! They never came! Been on hold a combined 5 hours with no answer, just elevator music. Was told they would be out today and they never came again. This is a terrible company. Im looking into woodfin! I would say I hope they go out of business, but they are already well on their way! They dont deserve anything called American in their names! Shame on you!

I had a simple question that their automated chatbot couldn't even read, much less answer. After I got a live agent the question was answered promptly. But when i then tried to change my payment method for autopay I found the process to be cumbersome.

My experience over the past 20+ years with Amerigas has been Rocky and up and down at best. On auto refill service, I have run out of propane 3 times. In fits and starts, they have tried to improve. When calling for help or info, sometimes someone will help and other times they are rude and provide no information.

Poor customer service, little accountability for missing delivery days, impossible to get in touch with local any local management / supervisors. No solutions were given to improve fulfillment issues, despite multiple requests for process improvement. Save your time, go with another vendor.

You all have gotten too far away from your customers with respect to order status information — Nigeria? Really? That’s nuts unless they can offer believable information the first time and have it proven by execution as projected. The actual delivery is great and the delivery staff are safe, professional and I like to see them come. The administrative side however is another matter — admin gets one star, and actual delivery gets five.
Your survey asked far you all could have done (do) to improve: You could have kept your staff and offered customer support in the U.S. — could have read and actually respond to reviews (see Google). When I started using Amerigas I had a local name and number to talk to about delivery and he was on it — no more. It looks like some one or group has decided to make more money and put that goal ahead of customer service. I think you all will end up loosing money because of lost reputation and customers.

They make you buy from them, when their gas is not competitive. They keep going up on their number of gallons needed to purchase. They charge rent on their tanks.

Based on other reviews I share similar opinions on their policies, fees, and customer service. Luckily, I was only dependent on gas service for fireplace. Since I have rarely used fireplace in the last several years and there was no way I could meet their requirement of 200+ gallons per year for free tank rental I decided to sever ties vs. paying almost $170 yearly for rental - I am sure they will hike up to $200 very shortly. I got the bill today showing $199 for pick up and $99 service dispatch fee. It took the "Technician" all of 5-6 min to disconnect, remove, and leave my house so $300 is extremely unreasonable to me for a 35+ year old tank that will probably be trashed anyway. Oh, I only found out about the pick up fee because I asked customer rep when I called to discontinue. Did not hear anything about the service fee. However, rep was quick to point out I agreed to the tank removal fee when I signed the contract before giving the price. Glad to be rid of this company.

Absolutely the worst experience I ever had. Started with them 16 years ago. They had us sign a contract and it stated the tank rental fee would be waived if we purchased 60 gallons per year. In the last few years they decided to change it to 240 gallons purchased to waive tank rental fee of now $164 I’ve emailed them on multiple occasions since December of 2023 to request a review of my original contract with them and have called them multiple times only to be told that my inquiry is being reviewed and someone will respond. They haven’t responded in over 7 months. Absolutely the last place anyone should do business with.

Charged me for a site survey, that they did not tell me in advance there would have been a charge. I should have been told in advance so I could decide if I still
wanted it. Very sneaky practice. Throughly unsatisfied with the company.

Service and follow up are terrible. I will NEVER recommend your company for gas service. Get rid of your off shore poor English speaking Customer Service. It is very frustrating dealing with them.

Horrible customer service. Outrageous Tank Rental fees! Inconsistent billing policies and payment options. No clear instructions on how to contract a fixed price. If I could leave this company I would in a heartbeat, but I'm locked into using them since I have a buried tank on my property. Stay away if you can.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We recently moved and just set an account up b/c the previous owners had an AmeriGas tank. Customer service is awful and we have not authorized any deliveries of gas or requested and they are trying to tell us that we owe them $2500. I was on the phone for over 5 hours in one day on hold, talking to an agent, getting transferred with no resolution. Worst customer service ever and very shady with their billing. Don't use! Edited to say, AmeriGas did reach out via email but with no way to contact them directly. I have replied to the email several time and no response. Issue still not resolved.

Amergas is always on time and easy to work with in getting the gas supplies we need. I can easily track our tank gas levels on the website to assure we never run low. Customer service email alerts assure I am always on top of any issues.
