“Love the gym! It has dumbbells up to 75 pounds and all the right equipment for a full-body workout, along with whatever cardio you’re interested in—from stair climbers to recumbent bikes and more. The apartments are beautiful, and so are the views. All of my interactions with the staff have been pleasant. I’ve had very few issues with my apartment, but when issues have arisen, they’ve been addressed quickly and effectively. Most impressively, Trevon, a member of the East 51 maintenance crew, came in on a holiday to ensure that an outside contractor had access to my apartment for a repair while I was out of town on vacation. That was truly above-and-beyond service! I also recently asked for a public Wi-Fi access point to be added to the Capital Trail gym, and it took Paiton less than 24 hours to make it happen. I’m happy to call this place home for however long I’m here. There are also two riverside pools, by the way…and the Capital Trail! ;)”

“I had a walk in tour at Symbol RVA with Olivia, and she was incredible from start to finish. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure every question I had was answered. The rest of the staff was amazing as well. Everyone was welcoming and provided great customer service. Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend checking them out! Plans have changed and my move to Richmond has been delayed until sometime next year but I still wanted to leave this review.”

“I love renting here! The pool is nice and well maintained. The property is consistently being maintained (i.e. seasonal power washing, move downed trees from storms asap, consistently mowing lawns, etc) Its peaceful and generally quiet. The apartments are very nice and big And WINTON is amazing. He's been a big help for the year and a half that we've been here. Love it here”

“This is a review about custromer service and resoinsiveness. I lived here in 2020 and the address is saved in my phone. Needless to say one of my Christmas gifts was delivered here accidentally. Nicole Brette with the front office save my 2025. When I called she answered, when I emailed she answered, and whne I asked her to drop my package off at FedEx she delivered. Great job and thank you to her. This is the customer service I expect from any apartment complex!.”

My building is quiet and we get along well. The only downside if any would be the washers and dryers are expensive for the size and dryers don't really dry.”

“Absolutely LOVE living at Shiplock Views! From the very first tour, I knew this place was something special. The team was super punctual and walked me through all the apartment options in detail — they really took the time to make sure I felt comfortable and had all the info I needed. I never felt rushed, and they made the whole experience so easy and trustworthy. The views are seriously amazing! Whether I’m chilling in my apartment or hanging out at the clubhouse, I get to enjoy the prettiest views of the James River and all the greenery around. It's such a peaceful area, but still close to everything. You’re right next to parks and the Richmond trail, which is perfect if you love nature or just want a nice walk after work. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a beautiful, calm, and welcoming place to live in Richmond! ???”

“My wife and I both loved living here. All of the units are updated well and the folks in the leasing department are extremely friendly and helpful. I had an issue with an old tennat not returning our mailbox key and while it took months to resolve, the management folks helped me get our key. They're also pretty flexible about bringing your existing pet. I will say the walls are somewhat thin, but I haven't had any issues in my unit. (I'm in one of the Lofts, not the garden style units).”

“Loved it here. A beautiful location, so many places within walking distance or just a short drive away. Both the apartments and the building are fantastic. My biggest review is the Landlord/Management/Maintenance crew. I lived there for almost 5 years and I wouldn’t have had it any other way (sounds crazy, right?). These folks actually care about their tenants and I have more stories to tell than can be put into a review. It’s a beautiful place with beautiful people. 10/10.I feel like I should note, I only moved because my life became bigger than my beautiful apartment. If life had stayed the same, I would had never left.”

It’s also a safe location and conveniently downtown next to plenty of good restaurants and activities. The only downside is parking which you will have to pay for a parking garage.”

It is clean, peaceful, all appliances work, lots of storage, great sized bedrooms, and we even got July rent for free during their move-in special. This place was a steal!We also got lucky enough to have Estela Fuentes as our leasing agent. Not only is she outgoing, but she's very professional, on time and has SUPERB Communication! She's even checked in on us after moving in to make sure we love the place. Thank you!”

“I enjoyed my stay here at Townsend Square Townhomes. The actual apartments are a good size for 2 people to live and is adequately layed out, even if the living room area is a little awkward.The downstairs area is all linoleum that looks like hard wood while the stairs and 2nd story are mostly carpeted, with the bathroom having linoleum tile. Linoleum is not my favorite, but it is definitely easy to clean.The management is kind and easy to talk to, and they quickly answered any emails we sent. Maintenance concerns were quickly taken care of and always fixed.They are slowly upgrading the place. Just a couple of months ago they replaced all the windows in the apartments with double panes which definitely helped with cooling and heating cost.We did on occasion have bugs (ants, cockroaches, spiders) which a simple email to the management quickly resulted in people coming in to spray. After 10 months the only things that persist are the occasional ant.My biggest complaint is when the weather gets warmer the people living here get loud, especially at night even if there is quiet hours laid out in the lease that everyone signs. This seems to not be enforced and can get annoying if you are trying to sleep.Just like any apartment complex your neighbors will make or break your experience. I was blessed to have kind neighbors who always said hi when we passed each other.From my experience, I would recommend.”
