Always busy which isn’t bad but the items are overpriced and the staff is always rude when I go. Not sure if it’s because it’s retail and so busy , but they are condescending when talking about what items they will take which is a bummer.

Love going to this location. The Charlotte, NC location closed so every time I visit Richmond, I stop here before leaving. The staff is so friendly and I get a ton of great deals on Doney and Burke, Kate Spade and Coach bags.

So I came to the store to sell my shoes. Not to mention I caught the bus. Just for them to tell me that they don't buy shoes that are rough around the edges. Something I could have been told before I came a whole hour away they need to update or something by accepting pictures instead wasting people time.

The way that they decide to give you for your thngs has led to problems with them and customers. Some of the staff have nasty dispositions. Ill carry my business elsewhere

I've bought and sold here a lot but I've kind of given up on this place. Some of the staff seem rude for no reason, and they are way too picky about items to take. Their selection over the past few months has also been horrible, I can't even find one thing. A year ago, I would find at least 10 items I liked.

I had a good selling and buying experience here. While their clothes are marked on the higher side for 2nd hand shops, their variety is decent. Staff was friendly. I appreciate they were professional and cordial.

decent selection usually. some items are overpriced for a secondhand shop, some are the same as what they cost online brand new. you can find some really cool items here though. occasionally there will be some stuff new with tags.

Found a nice simple brew thru shirt labeled for $15 went to checkout and the worker claimed it was “40 years old” so she couldn’t let it go for only $15. She said she had to atleast go up to $40. Ridiculous.

Buffalo Exchange in Carytown attracts students and visitors as well. The resale store looks a bit overstocked and a bit confusing to navigate. Overall, customer service is good and the location is in a free parking area.

I truly had a wonderful experience selling at Buffalo Exchange, so much so that I *actually* am leaving a review. Immediately upon entering the store the employees acknowledged me and advised the wait to sell. They also kept me updated on an expected timeline until they could get to me. When I was selling, they kept a great conversation the whole time and just were so interactive. They could recall conversations they had had with customers previous in the day, which I think is important and shows how much an employee listens. I had a massive bag of plus sized clothing, and they took everything but 4 pieces. I know that can be a rarity with these resale stores, but I think they truly looked through everything and not just at the style tags and dates. They're desperate for plus sized clothing, so if you have some that you need to purge, be sure to sell there! I will definitely be coming back to sell!

With the amount of turnover, and what I can assume is the volume of walk-ins for selling, the product selection has become basically on par with Plato‘s Closet or Uptown Cheapskate. (Fast fashion, stained and damaged items along with poor quality.) There seems to be a lack of curation in the selection as well as poor quality, fast fashion “new” items being shipped in by corporate. (Why contribute to the glut of non-sustainable products already available in the market?) My suggestions would be to revisit buying and courtesy training with new staff members as well as going back to an appointment system for selling.

Staff is extremely nice and they are fair and respectful when selling clothes. I recommend checking them out before you check any other store out
