Great Staff. Left my work cellphone behind and didn't notice until I was about a half-hour away heading north. When I called, staff located my phone and was glad to put it to the side until I returned. 6 star customer

We were visiting my cousin in hospital - staff exceptional - handicap room for friend was spacious - couch pulled our to comfy bed for handicap person to get in because it was low - plenty of clean sheets and blankets as well. We will stay there again!

Im giving 5 stars strictly because of Kiara. She was pleasantly knowledgeable, and very hospitable. The room is clean and I didn't expect a big refrigerator.

When I got there I waited at the front desk for about 20 minutes. I asked the man who was painting if he knew where the front desk clerk was and he pointed to the bathroom (he didn't speak English), I knock on the door and she YELLS "BRO WAIT" I wait another 3-4 mins and she comes out. She services me and tells me it's $150 deposit but I showed her that it says $100 deposit but she says oh and still charges me $150 that I still haven't gotten back btw (the guy the next morning told me it would take 7-10 business days so I still have 3 days left to get it back hopefully) . Also the room was nice but it wasn't the room I booked. I showed her the room I booked and she looks at it and says nothing. So I said so I have to keep the room that I have when it's not the room I booked AND PAID EXTRA FOR! She says yes. I tried not to go back and forth because I needed this room, it was late, I was tired and so was my infant baby and 13 year old. The room was nice but the floors were dirty. I cleaned them myself. It was chocolate on my floor (I hope it was chocolate) but I cleaned my whole floor like I said because I have an infant. The person name that shows cleaned my room was "Irma". Also the dishes in the room were dirty. But everything else was fine and nice. Overall this was a HORRIBLE experience for me. I've never left a negative review and I try not to but the girl serviced me was AWFUL. Then while I was getting some of my stuff out of my car she went outside and I'm guessing she didn't know I was out there and was talking about me to whomever she was talking to. Again I will never stay here again because the experience was terrible. But yes the room was nice. If the floor wasn't so dirty and the dishes weren't dirty I would've at least given the room a 5 star.

The room was spacious and very clean. As I was traveling with a large dog, my hotel selection was limited. Yet, the hotel was near a mayor highway; yet, the nearby restaurant selection was limited; eg, Starbucks and Subway. The morning receptionist was professional and helpful. The evening person was efficient.Rooms: Large in size, and very clean.Noteworthy details: Large dog(s) are allowed. There is a grassy area across the street to walk one’s pet.

Main problem, besides the room having shower with no bathtub, is that the shower hot water control was fixed to midpoint so that you couldn't have a really nice hot shower. Instead you had a barely tolerable warm shower. Otherwise the experience was real good.

The staff at night was especially nice. The lady at the front desk gave us a restaurant recommendation. She even checked in on whether we liked it. She always met us with a smile and we appreciate that. We are a military family just driving home to PA from a Texas mobilization so we spent very little time in the hotel. This hotel lost a star because the pet fee was almost as much as our overall stay at the hotel. That was frustrating. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

Lately Candlewood Hotel has become less than when I First came here. Fire alarms going off All time of night, Cleaning Staff Not wanting to Service rooms Consecutively, Rooms No longer Family Friendly with Table for Families to eat, Renovation Staff Drinking and Partying All night in parking lot with Door wide open UNSAFE on All ends and so much More I could say but Will end here.Rooms: Newly updated but Not With Kids and Families in mind.Safety: Safety is an issue with door being Open and unlocked over night People hang around parking lot asking Guest for Money. No security at All.Walkability: Great places Food Stores and Groceries in Walking distance.

I have stayed at numerous Candlewood Suites in various states and this is one of the worst. I have stayed 5 or 6 times, but it hasn't gotten better. There was only one attendant who checked me in that was pleasant and acknowledged my Diamond Elite status. I have had issues checking in and they had to change my room on at least 2 occasions. The pantry is poorly stocked. The rooms have been "upgraded" and they have some new fixtures, but they took away the full length mirror and the tub. The shower doesn't have a place to put your soap or shower gel. Housekeeping isn't helpful. You can't get fresh towels or wash cloths until after 0830. I will not be returning to this location. If you want a pleasant experience, I suggest you go somewhere else.

Quick overnight trip to Richmond. This hotel was located directly off the highway which made my commute a breeze the next day. I was greeted right away when I walked in and I was even upgraded to a newly renovated room. Overall great stay.Rooms: Newly renovated hotel with full kitchens. I even had a recliner with a TV tray! I felt right at home.

If I could put a lower star I would. Nasty place. Stinks. I wouldn't stay here if they charged a dollar a day.

Needed a last minute hotel and every hotel in Richmond was $250-$300 and this was one of the cheaper ones I could find with availability. Room was decently clean. I didn’t see any bugs or bed bugs which I always look for as soon as I get in a room. I had a non-smoking room but the room did still smell like cigarettes unfortunately but we basically were only in there to sleep. Definitely not the best area of town. They do charge an extra $60 hold fee that you get back in a few days so beware of that. Overall not too bad of an experience for just one night.
