This employee-only location is apparently infested with crime. Two stolen checks were cashed using my account information. I’m currently in the process of filing police reports and getting state and federal agencies involved to help me get my money returned. Weeks have gone by and Capital one has been no help!!! If you have money at Capital One it is NOT safe.

Capital One emailed me for a survey. I sent this to 9 of my family and friends also just now and it made me think, I should also post this to a review so here it is:I’m on the fence about recommending them to someone else; and I probably would not (read in full). I have liked Capital One over the years for the most part. Credit cards and an auto refinance through them. My wife uses their checking. It also seems like their savings account has good interest rates, but I’ve never used it. The main reason I would say I don’t know if I would recommend them is because of a credit card dispute I had with a hotel merchant.I was never refunded a promised refund (documented on the hotel invoice - the one you get at the end of your stay). The hotel charged my card the full amount for the 5-day stay when I checked in, but was supposed to refund the last two days. After being unable to resolve the issue about the partial refund/credit with the hotel that the hotel promised, I disputed the charge. Capital one initially credited the disputed amount (which was the partial refund amount). I told them I have the invoice showing this credit/refund and they told me if they needed it they would reach back out and ask me for it. Many weeks later I get a message from capital one saying they are closing the dispute and that the merchant provided them with proof that the initial charge was correct with a printout of the transaction details where the hotel charged my card at check-in. Right, but it wasn’t accounting for the promised refund. Capital one also says they are recharging me the disputed amount. Capital One then tells me if wish to further the dispute, I had to go through ridiculous hoops to do so.I say ridiculous because they require me to FAX the details of my continued dispute. REALLY?? FAX? So, anyways I did fax them a letter, explaining i wished to continue to dispute the issue, with the reason why and i attached the final bill from the hotel showing the credit amount. I also did this within the timeframe they required. Within about 4 hours I get another message from Capital One saying I didn’t provide them with the information they asked for and they are not going to assist any more; they told me to take it up with the merchant. So after typing this, I am getting angry all over and I am not on the fence about this right now. Unless Capital One makes this right with me, I don’t think I can recommend them.

My take on this institution is that regardless of your circumstances, they continue to pursue you. I am pre-approved, yet not approved, yet they continue to send emails and letters and phukkin texts and calls. Leave me alone. I do not want or desire a phukkin credit card from you. End your pursuit of giving me one. I obviously cannot afford to have one. Even when I have a good paying, full time job, I still was not worth the risk. So, stop trying to give me one.

I was punished by having my card locked for paying my card balance in full. They tried to say it is fruad protection. No! It's, they're aren't making interest off of me, and Capitol One thinks locking my card will scare me into not paying my balance when I want. Then, knowing and verifying all of my banking information, they refused to unlock my card until they can call my bank to verify through them that it's my account. There has never been an outside financial institution connected to my Capitol One Card. They also refuse to give me an increase in my spending limit. Even though I have a perfect payment history for over a year.If you like having the extra financial trouble in this financially broken system, please apply away.Otherwise, look for a better company. If not, you'll regret it.

Absolutely NO ONE should bank with Capital ONE…. One of the biggest mistakes I’ve made that I regret. Lack of urgency, NO ONE on the lines can direct you to the correct answers of your questions. They just flat out don’t need to be in business. I’ll be changing banks immediately!!!! Some type firm or higher power needs to look into this bank cause I’m almost positive it doesn’t meet qualification to be holding people money with yet no understanding about their own bank….

True Story... Capital One stole my money. They lost my direct deposit in June '22. I called over and over asking them to find it. They finally find it January '23. They put it someone else's account, give me a trace number, but won't credit my account because the person they gave my money to, withdrew it and they say they can't recover it. They put it in the wrong account, their customer took it, and all they will tell me is "sorry". Oh, they did say I should write a letter... as in pen and paper in an envelope with a stamp on it write a letter to the president of the company and hope they decide to give me my money. Like I said, this is a true story.

As an honest review and long time customer. I've never had any major issues that I can think of dealing with customer support or any services they offer. If anything I've had a better experience with this company then any other bank I've dealt with in the past.

Capital One used to be very good but it is not at the moment. I called twice requesting to change a QuickSilver Master card to a Visa card because Costco won't take my Master card, but none of the customer support staff could resolve the issue even after they asked their supervisors. - When a bank gets so big, it seems that they don't care about customers anymore...

The most annoying business wasting paper on pre approved loans. If I wanted to get a loan AKA get into debt, then I would do so at my utmost ethical local community bank NOT capital one. Stop sending out your propaganda, it’s so last century.
