I joined Catalyst Fit in Richmond in January, coming from a very unhealthy lifestyle with high blood pressure, elevated blood sugar, and a weight of 194 lbs. My husband joined alongside me, not dealing with weight issues himself but wanting to improve his overall health. Together, we embarked on this journey, where we met Jesse and Jennifer, two passionate and knowledgeable coaches who have been instrumental in our transformation.
Unlike many in the industry who seem to focus solely on profit, Jesse and Jennifer genuinely care about their clients' well-being. Their dedication goes beyond standard fitness coaching—they strive to help clients build healthier, happier lives with personal support and expert guidance. In just five months, I lost 14–16 lbs and, to my surprise, naturally conceived, a goal we hadn’t anticipated but welcomed with joy. Catalyst Fit doesn’t just transform bodies; it empowers you to make lasting changes at a deeper level. I am truly grateful for Jesse and Jennifer and highly recommend Catalyst Fit to anyone looking to make a positive lifestyle change.

The best in Richmond VA for Total Body Functional & Strength training. The performance coaches there are also super knowledgeable in prehab & rehab programs. I've gained tons of knowledge over the years training at Catalyst.

I have been impressed with Catalyst Fit for sometime now. Not only do I train there (Trevor is great!) but I have sent many colleagues, friends and clients who have been pleased. I like the care they take with each person and how flexible they are with workouts. For example, I had a broken bone in my foot and they were able to work with that re:balnce and strength. I can't say enough good things about the Catalyst Fit gym and I believe the leadership on the part of the owners has been great!

Hire them. Today. If you want to get healthier, stronger, or achieve a fitness goal, go see Jennifer and Jesse. Jennifer helped me dial in my nutrition and lose weight and Jesse got me strong enough to run a 50-mile race. They are serious yet fun to work with, and completely dedicated to their clients' success. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I had a great first experience with Jennifer at Catalyst Fit. I scheduled my first RMR/body scan to make sure I am hitting my numbers. She walked me through the whole process of testing and gave me loads of resources to further help me. This place is an absolute gem, and I’ll definitely be back.

Catalyst Fitness is awesome for all your workout goals. Trevor and Vic are great trainers and Jen is awesome keeping me on goal with my eating and setting milestones. Pre pandemic I gained muscle and lost 70lbs with Catalyst. Over Covid I gained back some weight but I’m already down almost 20lbs from January. I highly recommend if you are looking to get healthy through diet and exercise.

This place has changed my life. The team is thoughtful, knowledgeable and capable. It has been a long journey for me to improve my heath, and Catalyst has been critical to me and the whole family. If you are looking to really make a healthy change for the better Catalyst has you covered, from nutrition, to exercise, to recovery, mindfulness and sleep quality. They. work to make your whole person better, which leads to sustained change.

I rarely leave reviews, but this place is a absolute gem. Coming here kept me sane during lockdown.Jesse is a fantastic trainer, and tailored a program to help me reach my goals. I think I gained 16 lbs of muscle over six months. Everyone here is knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming – it's just a great atmosphere. 10/10

I absolutely love Catalyst and Jenn. I have gained so much knowledge and insight about health, fitness and nutrition. My weekly touch base sessions with Jennifer are so motivating. Not only am I eating better but I have so much more energy, strength and endurance. I know that I’ll be a lifelong client...as my health determines the quality of every aspect of my life.

Jesse Kidd has been an excellent long distance nutritional coach for me since January of 2019. He is thorough, motivational, and educational. My challenge and desire is to monitor my blood sugar and lipids to avoid medication. So, with Jesse's help and encouragement I became much more active and also more conscious of what foods work best for my body chemistry to achieve these goals. Firstly, I began a predominantly KETO diet. For me, that was an easy transition. What Jesse helps me with is figuring out where I have some wiggle room and where I need to be very structured in my food intake. Our process is I share my lab reslts with him, he considers my periodic blood work results and makes recommendations on how to improve my numbers in key areas. In January 2019 my fasting glucose was too high and my AIC level was above high normal at 6.7. By April 2019 my fasting glucose had come down to 112 and my AIC level was 5.6 which is within normal limits. By December 2019 my fasting glucose was at 100. Also within normal limits. During this same time period my weight dropped from 162 to 147 most likely as a result of removing most simple carbohydrates and sugars out of my diet as well as increasing my level of activity. My triglicerides started at 297 in January of 2019, while I was on statins. I chose to take myself off of statins under the supervision of my doctor and by July 2019 my triglicerides were at 139, within normal limits. In January 2019 my HDL was at 52 but by December of 2019, that number had also improved to 71. It's a journey. And Jesse is a really good mentor and coach during the process. There are backslides at times. Jesse notes that the numbers are "creeping" up but in such a manner that you take note and redirect yourself. In short, I highly recommend Jesse's services.

I just started working with Jennifer. Her deep nutrition knowledge was apparent from the first time we spoke even on the phone. She is eager to help her clients and I’m already seeing results. I can’t wait to continue to work with Jennifer to achieve my goals!

Catalyst Fit's Semi-Private Training program is by far the best program I have been a part of. I love the personalized workouts tailored to my goals and abilities. The best part by far is being with a group of individuals who are all working on individual goal and pushing each other to do their best and push a little harder. Highly Reccomended
