“Saint Benedict is a Roman Catholic Church in the Museum Fan District of Richmond, located right across from the VMFA. They have confession times that allow all who feel burdened to come unload their heavy heart. You may stay after Thursday evening mass for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. You can also spend quality time in the garden with the Blessed Mother, and then cross the street to VMFA for a marvelous solo dinner or with friends on the grass, while a fresh breeze from the water cascades and surrounding trees beckon peace and tranquillity.”

“I went across the river to help pack meals for the program Gayton Baptist Church sponsors called Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). I had a good time and hope to do this next year.”

“This is a very, very big and nice church. It's a shame you have to pass many churches to find this one! But I guess that's what we get when God gave man "the freedom of choice." If man wants to praise God somewhere else and doesn't feel comfortable in his prayer closet, his own house, yard or car then I guess the next best thing is to build his own church to be run as he, not Good, feels free to do so.(Note: All those churches out in Varina could've been built into schools for kids. This way the kids don't have to continue attending Richmond's public school system with rotting schools trying to collapse due to mildew, rotting wood walls, floors and ceilings. I bet no one thought about that idea....did they?) Sorry, got on my soapbox.Anyway, Antioch Baptist Church has been there a very long, long time and it is clean, huge and nicely decorated. I would go there again for any service.”
