Service from the white cashiers was horrendous. They hovered and bothered me when I was minding my business, then ignored and disregarded me when I asked a question and was checking out. Miserable people. Haven't been back since.

While the counter staff in this store have always been wonderful, I will never shop in this or any Food Lion store again. And that's a shame because I do like the staff and it is the closest grocery store to my house. My issue is with their management or lack thereof. I purchased a $100 Amazon gift card, got it home and when I got it home,peeled off the covering o er the redemption code,part of the code came with it,leaving the code illegible. I took the card, and all receipts back to the store and after about 45 minutes the on duty manage returned,saying he could do nothing and gave me the number of the third party company that supplies the cards and a reference number. Upon calling this company,I was told that I shouldn't even have the number as it was business to business only and that he could refund only the store that sold the card. I contacted Amazon customer service to be told of course that it was the stores responsibility to refund or replace the card. I would have gladly settled for either. I got neither. The next day I returned to the store to address the Head Manager who was of absolutely no assistance whatsoever. He refused to either refund or replace the card. Both Amazon and the third party company Black Hawk can see immediately whether the card has been redeemed or not. Food Lion and it's management made absolutely no effort to make this situation right. They have my %100 and I have nothing. That $100 will cost them much more in the long run as it is the closest grocery store to my home and very convenient. But they will never get another dime of my money. Shameful

This location has racial profiling all over it. I have shopped this location for more than 20yrs. Never have I been made to feel so unwelcome. My family and I were followed from the time we entered until we took our place in line. My teenage children explain to me that it's just the way it is. This was heartbreaking for me. If this establishment feels they need to patrol there customers of color, I certainly will be spending my money elsewhere. A brunette lady as well as a blonde foreign woman were the agitators in this particular situation. Though after speaking with friends I realized I wasn't a unique occurrence. That being said, I will not be giving them the $600 a month that I spent there. And for my people of color, Kroger is right around the corner
