It has been a while since I used daytime movers. However, I could never provide a good recommendation for the company. Especially, after they completely destroyed my furniture in the move. They were to move only two pieces of furniture that was passed down by my father. They promised they had experienced movers to move it from his former home to storage. Instead, they had two inexperienced people damage the furniture while taking it apart. They also dropped one of the pieces down the stairs while putting it into storage. Instead of having great quality furniture, I have scraps which was one item. The other is irrevocably damaged. Save yourself the money and time...don't use them.

We hired this company to move us from our home to the storage. they damaged my furniture ( scratches and holes in my bedroom and dining room set) my washing machine was dropped and damaged. Some of my things were missing. when I told them about it and sent pictures, they didn't even acknowledge anything. Also what should have been an 850 job turned into a 1200 dollar job. This is a black owned company, they should hold themselves to a higher standard than this. No one has called me back to try to make things right. This is bad business at its worst!!! Do not use this company!!! No recommendations from me!!!

I used this company for my move and they worked well. I gave their number to my daughter who specializes in move management and design and would be a great referral source for them. Unfortunately, she recommended them shortly thereafter. The movers never showed to move them. The client was pregnant and you can imagine the stress and strain that occurred.
Between my daughter and myself, we made numerous calls, left messages and somehow I found a cell number that took me to the owner. I spoke with the owner who was in Jamaica on vacation. He was very helpful and said we can take of you; reached out to the driver. I received a phone call from the driver and they said they were on the way. They showed up hours later.
Now fast forward the same client was moving into their final house and used this company because they promised they were going to make up for the first debacle. Guess what happened? THEY NEVER SHOWED UP.

Daytime Movers were professional from beginning to end. I called to set up reservation using their automated service - great personalized touches as the system greeted me by name! I received a phone call the next business day followed by email and text message confirming my move date. We closed on our house and closing was moved back one day, Daytime accommodated our moving day without a problem.We received phone call, text and email the night before confirming and a courtesy phone call when the movers were 10 minutes from our home! I had placed a deposit with this company to perform a move, and then canceled less than a week later. I was promised that my deposit would be refunded in a timely manner. It has now been three weeks, and they still have not refunded the deposit.
I worked with Tony, and while he was polite and professional on the phone, the failure to follow up, and do what they said they would do seems to be indicative of many of the other reviews.
Use caution if you are considering this company for a move.
12/6/2020...and an update. After two months of promises, half the deposit was refunded. They promised multiple times to refund the other half. They still have not done so. So...off to court we go. It's a thousand dollars, but the principle is the driving force now. It's a shame, honestly, that it has to come to this, over something so simple.
-Another update: I finally had to file a warrant in debt. I waited until March to do it, hoping they would do the right thing. On the day the legal notice was served, voila...I received the funds back in my account. It only took five months, $70 more in filing fees, and a three hour round trip to the courthouse in Richmond.

GREAT WORKING TEAM. WORKED HARD. LARGE JOB AND THEY DID AMAZING. JUST LET THEM KNOW WHAT YOU NEED DONE. THEY WILL DO IT! THEY FUN TO TALK WITH AND VERY POLITE. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

I really can't say enough positive things about them, especially Kevin and Thomas that came out and helped me last night and wrapped all of our furniture and loaded the truck in record time. I highly recommend it.

They were late due to truck issues but sent another crew at a later time that worked for me. The three guys moved me out of the old apartment and into the new one in record time! I really thought these guys did an amazing job until I assembled my furniture. There were a lot things they were not responsible for like scratches and dings. My bedroom set is ruined.The inside of the truck is dirty. It's a good thing I purchased plastic for all of my mattresses. I had wipe to down all of the plastic bins once they were off the truck.The movers were on time arriving. I felt like they took their time unloading the truck which made the move a little more then what I anticipated.Service: In-state moving

Run, do not walk from this company. They refuse to do the right thing. One of their trucks crossed the center line and hit my son-in-law's car head on. The car is totaled, he has medical bills and lost wages. The police report shows that it was their driver's fault, but he claims it was not his fault. Their insurance carrier is refusing to accept responsibility despite the police report based solely on their employee's report (which is probably just an attempt to save his job). We are going to be forced to hire an attorney to fight this because they won't accept responsibility for their employee's actions.
