Unfortunately, they refuse all donations after 3pm and before 10am. This makes it impossible to donate anything if one has a job. That is a shame. I've donated to Diversity for about 20 years. Since they won't take donations after 3pm, I'll have to donate somewhere else. Also, the past couple of times I've donated items, they acted like it was a lot of trouble to date a slip for me to use when filing my taxes.

Great place to buy stuff and everyone working there has always been so nice but I’ve called or stopped there to donate things seven times as of today and even when I’ve called or gotten there before noon the sign that they are full for the day is always up. It’s a waste of time. Everyone is very nice about it, but I wouldn’t waste your time dropping by there. Easier to donate elsewhere unfortunately

Went there, and many people after me have to leave because the store closed.

I absolutely love this store. As someone who can't afford to spend much money on clothes this place is a god send. Thank you so much Diversity for keeping things affordable!

Great out of the city traffic place with parking. Even is priced great and there is such a wide variety of items. Very welcoming and it highlights diversity. Every time I travel to Richmond, I stop in!
On certain days they have great sales.
You can donate items, as well.
Check out their social media pages!
I've seen that some area groups hand out free food bags, depending on day or group. So, if you are in need-- keep your eyes open for those giving opportunities.

I live in Maryland, went to visit my sister in North Carolina and saw this on the way down. I was very happy to stop on the way home today! Luciana was quite nice to myself and my son. She has a wonderful attitude and was incredibly helpful! Great vibes all around!!
Love the store, will be making stops on my way to, and from, my sister's in the future!

Despite what their webpage and Google says, they close at 5:45. I saw a small item on social media that I was interested in, so I drove out to grab it real quick after work. I got there 10 minutes before close and the door was locked. Their donation bay was open and serving people so I went and said there’s an item I wanted to purchase real quick before they close but the doors were locked. The guy said they lock their doors 15 minutes early. I asked if I could just buy the item real quick and that I’d be out of their hair before 6. He said no and to come back tomorrow. I asked why they listed their hours as “open till 6” if they always close at 5:45. He just shrugged and told me to come back tomorrow.
I spent years working in retail and know it’s frustrating when someone comes in right before close and lingers but this was just nonsensical. Like be human, dude. I’m not asking for special treatment; you’re open and I just made a special trip out here to give you business. Just entirely rude and unreasonable.
I’ve shopped and made donations to them for years. I’m sure they couldn’t care less, but I won’t be back.
