The older black lady with the crochet hair that is at the register is EXTREMELY rude. Please don’t let there be a sale or a coupon she gets an instant attitude. The older white manager is extremely loyal to this lady and refuses to reprimand her constantly making excuses for her rude behavior. I’m friendly with all of the local staff in the area, but I will not spend my money here while they are staffed.

This location is usually OK I don’t know what’s going on new people are here and it’s just not what it used to be. Its Sunday so it’s extremely busy why do y’all have stock in every single aisle? No one was stocking anything stuff is literally just sitting in every single Aisle! And then as I handed a drink to the cashier, it rang the drink. I told her i already rang it up accidentally when I handed it to her, and she said no. I read my receipt and had a extra drink charge on there, So I had to get back in line with my Toddler for the refund. So I told her and she got the manager over… As I started to speak he cut me off immediately! (Middle aged black man, i guess hes the manager) He did give me my refund…. However I wasn’t getting rude or anything to cut me off is really rude and disrespectful! learn customer service as a manager! PS. He praised another worker for clearing out the back room! That’s because all of the stock is in the middle of every damn aisle!

I live in Northern Barton Heights and frequent the North Avenue, Richmond, VA location often. Manager Connie has done an outstanding job building a store team. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Connie leads by example. She’s, personable and knows many of her customers. It’s a pleasure to shop this location and I’ll continue to do so. Hopefully this team gets the recognition they deserve. Job well done.

I am a respectful and honest person and i work 2 jobs and i have never ever been so humiliated in my life until i came into that store and try to be made out of a liar about money that was taken from my account to be paid for goods out of that store and i was not a liar or a Thief because i contacted my bank and the money was paid out of my account and i do not need to steal or lie because i work for everything that i got.

Bought these today 1/25/24 and they were almost three months expired. Make sure to check the expiration dates before buying anything from this store.

I saw Barnard pull up and walk up , when I answer the door Bernard was very professional and introduced himself and explained what he would be doing and ask if I had any concerns. After completing service Bernard once again explained to me what service he performed and what to expect in the next few weeks. Thank you for sending Bernard

Staff is friendly store is always out of products your looking for I've been trying to get degree deodorant for 5 months it's always out stuff is always out one of the worst DGs I've been to in Richmond.Line is always long no matter how long it is they'll only be 1 register there can be several team members in the store no matter how long the line is they will not open another register

The male manager there tonight 3/5/23 has some of the worst customer service I have seen in awhile. He was no where to be found when the cashier was looking for him, he is argumentative, disrespectful, and laughs at customers. The women cashier who was there should definitely be promoted into his position. She is everything that man is not.

I just went to Dollar General on North Ave in Richmond Virginia to buy paper towels. I picked up a pack of Sparkle which had a price tag on the shelf that said $5. I went to the checkout and I was charged $6.50. I told the cashier about the signage saying this product is $5.00 and he said the price had changed. I said again it is marked five dollars so he called a manager and the manager stated that the price had changed and I again said but the sign says five dollars and the manager said they were in the process of changing the prices and I told him no one was working in that area changing prices and in a very matter-of-fact way do you want it or not and I said no and they refunded me my money. Long story short you cannot advertise A price of five dollars and then charge $6.50 at the register. That is not fair to the consumer and I'm pretty sure it's illegal. It is not my responsibility or the consumers responsibility to see that the prices are changed when products are on the shelf that is up to the store and if it is advertised for one price they should absolutely not charge a different one especially $1.50 different price when you get to the register. I do not recommend going to the store
