I took my midsized SUV here for a state inspection. I was told I needed a new right lower control arm to pass inspection. I agreed and they replaced it.
When I picked it up, I noticed a thudding sound when I would brake or turn, and the car steering was pulling left and right when driving at high speeds. Obviously concerned, I called back to inquire. I was told “it’s because you need new tires now… we tightened the suspension” and was not told I could bring it back in to be re-checked. I then made an appt with Firestone to diagnose this issue; turns out the control arm that was replaced was NOT BOLTED DOWN correctly (which is very dangerous to drive).
I am so disappointed by how this situation was handled.

This is where I take my vehicle every time even though I have a family friend who owns a shop further downtown. The Village Exxon team does everything they can to accommodate you - it’s clear their priority is keeping you and your vehicle safe, not just their bottom line. It’s no wonder they’re in high demand! They always provide multiple options to try to fit your budget, prioritizing what work needs to be done sooner rather than later, and if they think you’re better off going to the dealership, they’ll straight up advise you to do so. They can handle a lot here though - I get my inspection, oil changed, tires rotated, all the basic maintenance and then some. Last summer, when it was “raining” from under my dash, they even real quick pulled my car in to replace the air filter and flush whatever nastiness was clogging it so the AC would work properly. Love these guys! Would (and have) definitely recommend Jay and his team! 10/10

Came here on a friday to have my flat tire changed. I was told they wouldn't be able to get to my vehicle until Monday. I asked that they do an inspection Monday as well (assuming my tire issue would be fixed by that time). They called me that same day (friday) to tell me that the lug nut was seized on my wheel and they couldn't change my tire without damaging my rim and a replacement rim would cost $400. I said just wait and I'll figure something out. When I couldn't find a rim elsewhere I asked that they just put the spare on and I'll deal with whatever damage they did to the rim at a later time. They closed early that day. I got a call Monday morning saying they would charge me $700 to break the rim off the car. I contacted my insurance company, enrolled in roadside assistance and got someone to come to that location and successfully remove my flat tire WITHOUT damaging my rim and to put on my spare. However, Exxon thought it was appropriate to inspection my vehicle prior to any work being done and failed it slapping a rejection sticker on my car and charged me $20 for an inspection they knew I would fail because duh my tire was flat which is why I brought it to them. I understand this is a business but this whole experience was completely mishandled in an attempt to siphon money out of me. Disgusting business practice. I had a good first experience a few years ago with an inspection but after this recent incident they will NEVER get my business again.

Jay and his team are excellent! I have 2 vehicles and will only bring them here. Whenever work is needed they always take time to educate me on the problem. They’re always honest and complete work timely and at a fair price.

Just the facts.... We are vigilant about regularly scheduled maintenance. We usually bring our vehicle to the Honda Dealership for all maintenance. Unfortunately, we could not get an appointment at the Honda dealer this week.
As a result my wife brought our vehicle to Village Exxon for an inspection. The shop performed the inspection, failed the vehicle, and recommended over $3,000 in repairs so the vehicle could pass. This was shocking to us. She thanked them, paid the inspection fee, and immediately took the vehicle to the Honda dealership.
The Honda dealership was able to get the car in immediately. Less than an hour later, the vehicle passed the inspection with flying colors. As usual, no issues identified. My wife then shared the report and recommended maintenance received by Village Exxon with the Honda maintenance representative. She looked at the Village Exxon report, laughed at it, and told my wife to have a nice day.

Everyone is always very kind and helpful here. I’ve only ever stopped for gas to and from work, but there is always someone around to say hello and ask if I need something.

Was told I needed to replace my control arms/bushings on my Subaru to pass inspection to the tune of $1350. I declined the service and took my car to Moore Subaru who told me nothing was wrong with the control arms/bushings. In fact, Village Exxon had missed the only actual issue (2 blown fog lights). I left Subaru $110 later with a fresh inspection sticker.
This is the 2nd time Village Exxon has tried to upsell/screw me during an inspection. Fool me once...
It should also be noted that Tam was the technician both times they've tried to pull this scheme.
Village Exxon has seen me and my wallet for the last time.

Not a good experience. I was quoted 3 different oil change prices within a 12 hour period. BEWARE!!!

Tried to get a state inspection here, they rejected my car and they told me my lower arm assemblies needed replacing, exactly like someone else who reviewed here, they came up with $1300 worth of repairs for a car that nothing was wrong with. I took it to my regular place and they inspected it and it passed without any issues. Where I normally go is usually pretty busy so I thought I might be able to get a quick inspection done closer to my house. Won't make that mistake again, this place is awful. Beware.

Was my first time to the shop. Got an oil change and asked them to check everything out. They made some recommendations. I decided to repair my truck with them. It handles and ride like new! They will be my guys from now on! Kaitlyn's customer service was over the top, extremely knowledgeable!
