Great gym for any fitness level. Bodybuilding, cardio training, power lifting, heavy bags.Staff is super nice and they always have equipment you can use (belts, ab rollers..)The only thing I would like to see is a pool.

My favorite Golds pretty much the only one I go to when I have access to all of them . Equipment could use a upgrade , locker room needs a makeover ?♀️ can we get sensor flush toilets atleast geesh. Front desk staff is pleasant most times. Hydo massage chair is such a treat. Oh the kiddie corner/childcare is available. Overall good gym .

Have tried stopping in and reaching out multiple times and cannot get my membership cancelled. After being a regular customer for 2 years between VCU and Willow Lawn I have been relocated very quickly to Miami. I stopped in at the front desk three separate times trying to cancel and each time they couldn’t because the person was off that day for one reason or another. I tried calling and they refuse to cancel without a certified letter. I told them I wouldn’t send them a certified letter. It’s an absurd hurdle and It’s just horrendous customer service. This is a basic function of the business. I’m not in a contract. I’ve paid on time every month for years. Peoples circumstances change. I offered to send them a PDF with a signature which legally is the same exact thing. It’s absurd when every other gym that’s not even a franchise can do this at their discretion with a click of a mouse that this is the hill they decide to die on living up to Gold’s slimy scammy reputation they’ve managed to harness for themselves over the years. If the manager was ever at work and I could speak to them directly and not the front desk who seems to have no authority maybe I could sort it out. At the end of the day I don’t believe customer is always right but you ARE a business and I’m just asking for a completely reasonable and common request that is just a part of doing business in your industry. Can you treat me like the loyal paying customer I’ve been for years and not like a dollar and cent. Do you not realize sometimes people sometimes move back and if you treated them like a human maybe they’d sign up with you again.

Loved the gym when I was going but giving it one star because of the way they handled it when I canceled my membership. My card on file was deactivated so charges couldn’t go through and I received a call from a lady who informed me. At that time, I decided to just cancel my membership and she told me all was good. Periodically throughout the month I kept receiving random calls about my billing so I called and called and could never get an answer. I went back and a worker informed me that my account was not canceled and I would have to come in before 6pm when a manger was in office in order to cancel. So I went during my lunch break to the local Golds Gym and was told I had to cancel my membership at the same location that I signed up at. I was finally able to explain the situation to a manager who still made me pay for two months even though I was originally told over the phone that I was fine. If I was told this information originally, I would have took off a couple hours of work to cancel my membership but I was not. Big miscommunication issues.

Great gym overall aside from there only being one water fountain that dispenses warm water.

The Gold's Gym at Willow Lawn is an ideal location, perfect size gym and awesome management and staff. Equipment is always in working condition and the housekeeping staff keeps the gym very clean. What's not to like about a 24 hour fitness facility:)

Great equipment selection and tons of space. Only issue is general cleanliness. It’s not filthy but could be better. There’s so much dust and old chalk in the crevices of the lifting platforms in the turf room that you sneeze.

This “Gold’s Gym” location is great. The general manager is extremely professional and some of the staff members are helpful as well. I highly recommend this gym facility to everyone.

This gym is over crowded by VCU students all day. Even though VCU students pay for their own gym, they decide to take over this gym. If you want a nice quiet workout, I would pick a different Golds gym. They also do not have a pool anymore.

Nice facility! Only issue is that I had done a day pass while I was here on business and turns out I was paying for a monthly membership for the last year and a half. I was unaware that I signed up for a membership as-well as no contract sent to my email only the day pass confirmation, I was told no refund could be made since none of the management was there at the time.

Decent gym, would rate it higher but feel scammed by their premium membership. At the time of buying it, it had advertised a perk of the premium membership that I could bring a guest for free with me. But then they took that perk away, requiring the guest to pay. And within six months increased the price of all memberships including the premium. I would understand one or the other, but both within the same year does not feel fair. I can't imagine removing the free guest pass perk was due to inflation.Main reason I ended up getting a membership was because someone used their free guest pass to bring me along a few times and I liked the place. Guess I won't be bringing anyone I know from this point forward.Gold's is nice overall but I would not recommend it to people specifically because of this, I'd be willing to bet they will continue this pattern in the future.

People setting up tripods to film in workout areas isn’t ok and it’s especially annoying when you bring it to the attention of the front desk and nothing happens. What’s the point of having rules on the wall like ‘no gym bags in workout areas’ or ‘no cell phone use while exercising’ if the staff is unable or unwilling to enforce them? As a member it shouldn’t be my job to enforce basic gym safety guidelines.
