Dear Grainger Customer Service,
I am writing to share my experience during a visit to your store today. I went in to buy a part for my kitchen hood, which is broken. Since my English is not very strong, I tried to explain to one of your employees — an older white man — that I was unsure about the exact part details. I asked if he could speak directly with the technician who is repairing my hood over the phone to better understand what I needed.
However, the employee shook his head and told me that if my technician needed something, he would have to call a separate number instead of assisting me directly at the store. Even after I explained again that the technician could provide him with more details right away, the employee refused to help and insisted I call the number myself.
I felt very disappointed and frustrated by this experience. I was standing in the store asking for help, but the the old man employee seemed unwilling to assist me. Fortunately, another employee later speak with my technician, and we were able to find the item I needed.
I hope Grainger can address this situation to ensure better service for all customers, especially those who may have language barriers and rely on staff for a little extra support.

Friday afternoon at 3pm—I was in desperate need of help identifying new conveyor chains for a machine in our manufacturing plant, and came to Grainger because I was in need of help identifiying the most accurate replacement parts. I am new to my industry and only had a few clues to guide me. Tiana sat right down to her computer and got swiftly to work helping me in my search. We spent nearly 45 minutes comparing my photos to their stock and identifying the appropriate chain links. Tiana was so kind and patient with me, and worked with me to find items that would be available for pickup by Monday. I am grateful for the attention she afforded me in my search, and I want to share this stellar review because it is rare to find folks who are willing to take on a challenge these days, and to do it with a smile and a laugh is even harder to come by. Took to long. Very unorganized. Nothing like the granger I remember buying from on behalf of multiple large companies over my 60 years. Not sure what went wrong or when but seems like its just part time help and no career minded employees that actually care about doing a good job. More concerned about breaking their high fashion nails than getting the job done. Maybe grainger is more interested in mail order business and not interested in hands on customer service and support. Thats a shame because I'm one who likes to support brick and mortar business. Walk in and walk out with what I need.

I own DIFY Electrical and have not used Grainger before today and I’m glad I did. Can’t say enough great things about my experience with Jay today! I came in with a part that nobody else could source J hopped on the computer and found it within minutes. My only complaint is my experience was so fast I only got to speak with him for a few minutes. From here on out Grainier is our new go to for electrical needs.
