My 8 year old granddaughter started music lesson here in January. Her guitar and lessons were a gift from her Godmother for Christmas and the gift has kept giving! It is so much for her every week going into the store and exploring all there is to see. She loves her instructor Julian and he is a joy to work with. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you for make her journey with music fun and educational.

I went in to check out a few things, specifically some 7-string guitars, the PG Spark Mini amp, some pedals, and maybe some music books. Not a single person said hello when I walked in. There wasn't a single extended range guitar in sight. The music book section was small but clean and somewhat organized, so at least that was nice. The amps looked like someone had been beating them with the guitars on the wall, which all looked equally as bad. The pedal selection was hilariously sparse and uninspired. The only thing premium was 10-year-old Strymon pedals, but the rest was just boomer tube screamer clones basically.I want to say it's probably the holidays, but I've been in several times in the last few months and walked out having similar experiences. And I'd want to say it's maybe a GC issue, but Sam Ash - right next door - is maybe even more depressing. It's really sad that this is what buying musical equipment in 2023 has boiled down to. Corporate conglomerate stores with only budget-level instruments, a terrible, messy experience everywhere in the store, and minimum-wage employees just trying to get through their day. I'd suggest going somewhere else but, between GC and Sam Ash, all the local stores have closed or are very niche (i.e. only acoustics at Fan Guitar & Uke, or only weird stuff and stuck-up employees at Metro Sound). If you want a guitar or piece of musical equipment, and you live in Virginia, your best bet is to just order online from somewhere that has a decent return policy... unless you want the same boomer $800 Telecaster or Stratocaster as everyone else.

Shipment on time, as ordered and in good shape. Carton was torn all over but was so well protected that there was no damage to the product.

Jake, the guitar tech did a great job on my Taylor 114e. I've never had a pro setup and I'm amazed at how good the guitar sounds and how easily it plays. Highly recommend Jake. A super nice guy as well. Thanks!

Good service and good variety. It's also a differentiator to be able to go to a physical store to actually play the instruments and buy with the assistance of someone who understands music.
