Gun Shops in Richmond, VA

“I have purchased a few guns from them and have had a few transfer with them and have no complaints but I have feedback I would like to share. Staff is kind and nice, they are willing to take time to explain products aswell.
I will say, with the rush due to the new laws I was told I would be notified when my BC was approved but the last two transfers that did not happen. I found it was best to go back next day and was told again I would have a text but after giving them my name I was advised they were approved. My last check was delayed after the new laws took effect and when I submitted paperwork Monday the employee refused to let me take the 20rd magazine when I told him I wanted the magazine so it would be grandfathered in. I even advised I would likely be put on a delay but no budge from them. Since the firearm I transferred was not a ban configuration I was able to take the rifle home today after paperwork was approved but they had to ship the magazine out of state since that is now banned. They did allow me to provide an address to my other residence in a different state so I was very pleased they were willing to work with me but I could have saved $35 bucks if the employee let me take the magazine when I submitted my forms.

Should have been better prepared with intakes of transfers and offered expedited/appointment slots to help the influx of new orders/transfers.

I will still continue to use them and they still deserve 5 stars as Laws arnt created by them and they have no control over VSP BC checks. Just wish I could have taken my magazine prior to the ban going in effect and could have just waited on the rifle as is did. I hope this can be a learning experience on ways to have the business flowing/running smoother.”
