I came in visiting from Texas and loved my experience! Petra was WONDERFUL! She came highly recommended and I can see why. The staff was very attentive and friendly also! I will be back!

I was looking to book a last minute massage in town and was lucky to find Hand and Stone. This location is near the Fresh Market and across from all the newer shops in Carytown. There is a lot of free parking nearby. I booked online and your first session is half off. I wish I came earlier because I signed up for a 60 minute massage and it was more like 40 minutes. I had to fill out paperwork first, but when I was done it took some time to call me in. I wonder if you're given less time because the first session is half off. He ended early too. I enjoyed the Swedish massage. Paris was my massage therapist and he was extremely professional and kind. He checked in to see if the pressure was ok with me and asked me what I was hoping for out of the massage. I wanted to destress and relax. This massage definitely helped me with that. When I was finished he gave me coconut water. At the front desk they try to sell you a membership, which makes sense since this is a massage chain. I'm glad I was able to book a last second massage here.

I had Ally at the Glen Allen location for a fully body massage and focusing on my trigger points. Her touch is very relaxing and soothing and felt wonderful. She explained to me why I was feeling tight and recommended stretches and ways I can change daily practices to relieve this and what to do for stiff muscles. I felt much more relaxed after my session with her.

It used to be my favorite place and I have a membership, I go regularly, especially Kayle, she's amazing, I always book with her, she helped a lot with my shoulder/neck pain.
I'd give 5 stars and more for Kayle.
Unfortunately, I am giving 1 star because I planned a surprise gift for husband, requested a male provider, went there for the appointment, they said there was no request on the system and they did not do anything about it at all!
Next day, I called the manager, Mimi, and she said she would investigate more and get back to me, and that never happened.. she did not even offer any complimentary thing to fix that issue that the front desk caused! Been a week now with no update.
I am going to cancel my membership because I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with what happened. It is unacceptable to ignore the client's request, not keep promises, and not do something nice to fix it!

Yesterday, I had an excellent Swedish massage with Asia! Felt like I was floating when I walked out of there! This was my first time to Hand & Stone. My impression was that it was very clean and had helpful and friendly front desk staff.

My wife and I went for facials today, and it was a great experience. The place is pleasant and relaxing. Tiffany and Savannah are skillful and gentle. I would recommend this place.

This spa is very difficult to contact. They do not answer the phone or return voicemail. Good luck finding a number to call that doesn't have a full voicemail box. I was calling because I was charged for the incorrect service! The receipt did not list the service, just the amount, and it is not accurate based on their website information. When I asked the girl at the counter, she was very rude and did not even engage in my questions and dismissed me. I was very put-off and figured I would call again when I was over how rudely I was treated. I am hoping they will make it right, but it has now been 3 days and I still have not heard anything back from this spa!

I visited the Regency location for an 8PM Friday appt. I arrived at 7:52PM and was led back to my room by 8:05PM. The massage therapist discussed my massage and gave instructions for me to undress and get on the table as they left the room. They returned at 8:17PM and began my massage and then my massage ended at 8:54pm. I mentioned to the front desk as I was leaving that my massage was not 50 minutes long. They just apologized and offered me a complimentary card to upgrade my next spa experience. I called the facility on Monday to speak with a manager and chatted with Mimi. I was told that they could not offer anything except the complimentary spa upgrade and after expressing dissatisfaction with the resolution, I was offered a $25 discount off my next service. I said "No, thank you" because I do not plan on returning.

Massage therapist was great. She did a great job. However, the receptionist was friendly but obviously had some type of respiratory issue and was not wearing a mask.

Hand and Stone makes you appreciate every other massage you have ever had. Honestly, I'm not sure my therapist has had any professional training. I told her the specific muscle I've been told causes my neck tension, and she never touched it. The session started late, ended early, and at checkout I was pitched a membership to this place.

Paris did a great job! I actually stopped booking massages until I got a gift card because people never give enough pressure for me to really feel it even with deep tissue. Glad I got in with Paris because it was an awesome massage! Great pressure and focused on working out my problem areas, so thank you!

I arrived early for my appt and paid for a 60 min facial. I was called back 25 mins after my scheduled time and told I would receive my full service which I did not. My esthetician only did maybe 40 mins of the service if that and that time included both getting dress and undressed and her trying to persuade me to get a membership before starting my facial. Throughout the service they kept pushing for a membership & since it was my first time here I wanted to take in the experience and relax. I will not be joining their membership after the uncomfortable continuous pushing throughout the whole facial and I didn’t get my full service time. Very disappointed with my service here.
