Jada fired someone for literally just going to a different esthetician school than she did. Never go to this one I heard it has a foul odor..

What a terrific group, from front desk personnel to my lovely esthetician. So glad to have found them.

I had a facial sometime back here and it was pretty bad. Like awful. I live in Short Pump but was working near this location so tried it out. The lady was very unskilled and talked the entire time and tried to up charge me every other minute. I layed down and once I did, she pounced with trying to add more things for upcharges. I started to relax and then again, upcharge time! I've had a LOT of facials in my lifetime, and this was bad. The only reason I have given it two stars is location is good, parking is nice and the spa itself was maintained well. Be careful people, once you relax you will be bombarded with upcharges! You've been warned.

I'm generally pretty easy to please when it comes to massages-- but my massage therapist talked throughout the entire massage. I would let the conversation die off, and she would start talking again. This really took me out of my relaxation and ruined the experience for me. There's no comfortable way to ask someone mid massage, hey can we not talk? I've never had this happen to me before. I also stated my goal as relaxation with no problem areas, and half of the massage was spent on my shoulder knots that don't trouble me whatsoever: this was painful and not what I was seeking a massage for. At the end, I was pressured to sign up for a membership when I was giving a lot of hints that I had no plans to do so. I would not recommend this location.

I was gifted a massage from a friend w a membership. I visited the carytown location and the front desk staff was wonderful. My massage, however was one of the worst I've ever had. As a previous therapist I was really struggling with the aggressive, frenzied experienceI had during my visit. It felt like the therapist had very limited training and no sense of trigger points or limits if comfortable stretching, let alone range in any kind of massagetechniques. Many movements ran directly over bone repeatedly and it was painful. I expressed concerns to the front desk and the manager comped my massage and offered a new therapy appointment. Then you got your professionalism.

had a good massage and the only reason I give it one star, but they say they wont charge your card when I have a gift card, and they did it and when I call they say sorry we hit it by mistake, I WILL NEVER RETURN b/c I dont lie to people and do something that I have to call in to get it taken care of, not how you treat others.

Find a better spa. After being a member here for a couple months, it's clear that this establishment doesn't value its clients. My massages always start late and end early. Every time it's a 40-45 min massage. The front desk is extremely unhelpful. They do nothing but fake smile and rush to get you out. I was lied to by a manager recently about a "free massage credit" to make up for their mistakes. My account continues to be charged and I will take legal action if my membership isn't terminated immediately.

I keep having bad experiences at this place! For one reason or another. Im not going back or purchasing any other gift cards from the place. You go to relax yourself and the experience ends up being stressful.

I booked two introductory massages for two college students as a gift. They thoroughly enjoyed them and would probably go back. The issue: prior to booking, I inquired about receiving the introductory special price for the first visit and received confirmation that they were eligible and paid over the phone. Unfortunately, I was charged full price. This is not a mistake but an integrity issue. When a company shows you that integrity is an issue on their end, its plain foolish to think they will ever honor or respect you as a customer. I am very glad these students had wonderful massages but my money won't patron the Hand and Stone company again.

I was thoroughly enjoying my weekly cryoskin sessions but then on December 13th which would have been my 5th session, I received a text asking if I could reschedule my appt time from 7:30 p.m.to 7:45 p.m. I text back indicating that I had lost my voice a few hours prior and thought it best to reschedule. This decision was prompted on receiving the text to reschedule my time. I thought it was best for them due to the fact they we’re obviously running behind. Had I not received that text I would have gone to my appt. no voice not knowing if I was contagious and all. I received a text back stating I would be charged a fee ($75.00) for rescheduling. I immediately text back (8 minutes) and said I would come in for my appt. I then text back (1 minute) asking for confirmation but I received no response. I proceeded to call but had to leave a voicemail as no one answered the phone. I received a call back from Tierra, Spa Service Manager, who said she had already charged my account the cancellation fee. I told her based on the cancellation fee, I was keeping my appt and to please refund my acct. She refused but said she would check with the esthetician. I then received a call back from Jada, General Manager, stating they would refuse treatment if I came in and she WOULD refund the cancellation fee. Unfortunately, I received the charge on my acct. but I have not received the refund. This was such a disappointing experience. As I stated at the beginning, I thoroughly enjoyed my cryoskin sessions and was definitely going to continue scheduling appts. But after this front desk experience, I have changed my mind regarding returning to this spa. It’s a shame that the front desk managers caused the esthetician to loose a client. It’s also a shame the managers lost future business for this spa. Customer service is the key to repeat customers as well as future customers. It’s all about how a business treats their customer as to whether that customer feels valued. The front desk manager and general manager showed me I was not a valued customer.

This place is an absolute scam. Will lie to you about pricing and will charge double to triple that. Absolutely terrible and will never go back

I normally don’t take the time to write reviews but my experience at hand and stone with Tory was exceptional. She was so attentive and made me feel like she genuinely cared about my skincare goals. I can’t recommend Tory at hand and stone enough!!!

Since y'all asked me to give you feedback and then didn't pick up when I called here you go:The massage was very disappointing, paid for an hour and got about 45 minutes where the lady kept trying to talk to me throughout it. Aside from that, the massage itself was mediocre and barely worth what I originally paid for it. I booked the introductory offer online, which went through without issue, but after I had received the massage, the receptionist informed me that the offer did not go through and I would have to pay the $175 (more than DOUBLE what I agreed to pay), and then had the audacity to try to upsell on more mediocre massages, and then ask me why I didn't want to give them more money.TL;DR- you're gonna overpay for a bad massage, and they might decide to jack up the price and surprise you with the increased costs after the massage is done. Save your money by going literally anywhere else.
