Visit Historic St. John's Church, an active episcopal church, and the site of Patrick Henry's famous 'Give me liberty or give me death!' speech. Worship services are held here on Sundays at 10:30 AM, followed by Coffee Hour. The site is also open for tours and offers educational programs about the American Revolution.
St. John's traces its roots back to the founding of Henrico Parish in 1611, an outgrowth of the original church in Jamestown. People have been worshipping here since 1741.
The St. John’s Church Foundation has served as guardian and steward of St. John's Church since 1938. Educational programs bring to life the events that led to the American Revolution and allow us to preserve St. John's Church for future generations.
