In general, I have an overall favorable impression of Home Depot; their employees are good people. However today was a shocker. We went to the lumber section and it was dangerously over crowded with dozens of small children and their parents assembled for some sort of craft event down the middle of the lumber aisle. People needed to load lumber, which is usually heavy and wet, onto the large orange carts. There was zero chance a cart could go anywhere near the area. Just getting to the lumber was a hassle. When my husband went to remove the round steel barriers to access the lumber, I told him not to out of concern to the children just feet away. Anyone who has had to retrieve lumber from the upper tiers knows what I'm talking about. I don't know who is in charge of the craft event, but someone needs to seriously reconsider relocating it for the safety of the children. I thought of leaving and getting the lumber elsewhere but we were there for a few smaller items such as 2 x 6 x12's and not the 6 x 6 x 12's as was the case several weeks ago. In addition, children are interrupting the cashier asking to put their craft items into bags to carry home. Not sure how the cashier felt about that when faced with a long check out line.

This Home Depot is the absolute worst. I had to wait for one hour to be assisted for someone to cut a piece of wood. I called the manager Roy and he was racist and I never got anything resolved. I ended up leaving the store without any assistance.

I was in Home Depot today to buy and tool box and Daniel was the gentleman that helped me and my son...he went above and beyond for us and it was some of the best customer service we have ever had! He deserves a raise?
