Miss. Francis was great, I almost stopped doing business with H n R block due to my last experience recently. Miss Frances did an amazing job and changed my mind, I will be back working with her with my taxes next year.

By far the most unprofessional experience I have ever had in the 20 plus years of filing my taxes. I drop my documents off on the 14th ( was supposed to be an appointment to sit down and review my taxes) and I never received a call or any attempt to communicate to discuss my taxes. I called but never received a return call. The 15th came and went. Nevine Youssef ( tax prepare ) was horrible. I spoke with Dawn Wheal ( manager )after I was unable to collect my documents. She promised to assist with the charges to file my taxes and promised HR Block will take care of any charges related to my taxes being late. After our conversation I have not been able to speak with her. I have called and emailed several times. I promised myself I would not return after my experience in 2018. Stupid me really. It shows that management has failed in providing even the most basic examples related to customer service and this reflects in how the tax preparers treat the paying customers!! I do not write reviews very often but I can’t resist the temptation to waste more time to hopefully make some kind of difference. Probably a waste of time.

I enjoyed my experience with my tax preparer individually, but the office itself was chaotic. There was a manager missing and support for preparers was limited on one of their busiest days. Additionally, I had uploaded Excel documents for my appointment, but H&R Block did not provide Excel on the team's computers. My preparer could not pull up my documents and I had to pull them up on my phone. This impacted the efficiency of my preparer to complete my returns.
While we got everything we needed, it was an overall disappointing experience. 10/10 recommend my tax preparer but 2/10 do not recommend H&R Block. I do not plan to go to H&R Block again unless they start supporting their teams with proper technology and support.

I was blessed to be helped by Stephen Corrigan at the Willow Lawn location of H&R Block. This man was so kind, patient and helpful. We were in a bind and within days of closing on a home and needed 3 years of taxes filed immediately. After that the lender flagged our loan bc of an address on our tax returns. We had to return to see Mr Corrigan 2 different times in order for him to get us a letter to send to the lender so that our loan would go thru and we could still meet our closing date. He was not even our original tax preparer so he did all of this for us without making any money bc he was not the one to originally file our return. This man spent several hours of his own time, during the busy tax season just to help ensure we would be able to meet I our closing day!! He was amazing!! Please go see this kind gentleman and let him file your taxes!! He is so compassionate he wouldn't even allow us to pay him for his time!!

Zeb Miles went above and beyond to support me and the resolution of a 2021 tax issue that surfaced in summer 2023. Going back and forth with the IRS took several months, but Zeb was helpful, cheerful, and knowledgeable throughout the process even calling the IRS on my behalf (with my documented permission). I so appreciate all the time he took to resolve the case. Five stars for Zeb.

Submitted my tax documents electronically to them and explained my situation. 2 months and several phone calls/emails later, I can't even get the tax planner to call or email me back. Didn't reach out to me once. Wasted 2 months of my time while I was paying tax penalties. Canceled and went to a small local tax firm, received same day service.

Stephen (Steve) Carrigan was so helpful and kind. I had a few hiccups with H and R block customer service (1800) and Steve did everything in his power to not only help me out of that but to guide me until my taxes were done. He was beyond genuine, informative, caring and easy going. My taxes are close to being done-pending a signature on my end and I would not be even close to being done without Steve’s help. Thank you so much Steve, you were truly appreciated!!
