Beautiful and expansive home interior and interior decorating storefront and design studio. Every time I go I see something new and stunning! The shop has so many amazing home decor items that is all different and well selected to be “out of the ordinary.” Well worth a visit, selections are always changing! Store personnel are all friendly!

Stop over charging for everything. Also she should treat her employees so much better. She is not a easy person to work for or with.

I'd say the majority of the items in this shop located along Boulevard north of Broad within Scott's Addition are beyond my budget limit, but my mom loves the place. They were listed as a local merchant who sells local artist Lori Mitchell's twiggy figurines in Richmond magazine last fall, and that lured her in. She spent way too long deciding between the figurines, so I looked around in the shop while she stared at them. They stock lots of eclectic, unique home decor items, so if you're looking for a special pillow or fabric or random glass ball -- and have the means -- this is a good option to check out. The folks who work here are really nice too. They chatted with us about the twig collection (apologies if the figurines have a real name that I'm omitting) and mentioned that Lori had had an event there in the recent past.

I love this store. Great place to find elegant home decor and chic gifts, including beautiful things for children. Janet is a doll, hunting down an elusive wallpaper pattern I've been dying to use.

My daughter, mother and I went into this store and were surprised how unfriendly and snobby the sales person was. You would think the store makes tons of money to be able to afford loosing customers due to their attitude. My daughter wanted to buy several items to re-decorate her bedroom but after 5 minutes we felt very uncomfortable and walked out. The lady looked at us as if we were there to steal from the store. What a terrible way to treat customers.

Janet Brown Interiors is a tiny shop that's packed with home decor items. There are tons and tons of throw pillows, antiques, picture frames, bath items, baby gifts and table linens all squeezed into one tiny store. It makes for fun browsing: you can walk the store many times and always see something new. It's a fun store to shop for gifts or new items to spruce up your home. Prices also range from affordable to very upscale. As a younger shopper, I will say sometimes I feel like the sales ladies are a bit unfriendly. Janet Brown, the owner and interior designer is super nice, though. Janet's interior design services are also offered from this shop.

If I could ever afford an interior designer, this would be my pick not only because the owner has impeccable style and taste, but because she's an animal lover. She hosted an event a few weeks ago at the SPCA, sort of design seminar for pet owners, that addressed the best carpets, fabrics and stain treatments safe for pets and easy-to-clean for their human friends. I've noticed that in the shop she always has some pillows, fabrics, or decorative pieces with pet motifs. So that's why she gets four woofs from me!
