Ordered chicken for a party — it was not fresh. Tasted like it was cooked earlier and redipped in grease later. The chicken was very hard and barely edible. Disappointed with the quality.

It was sad to see all the handicapped people getting carts soaking wet in the rain. But what was even sadder? Was the cart pusher on the phone slouched over laughing on his phone. It is ridiculous that you would pay somebody to sit on their butt and leave all the cars outside. There were a lot of mad customers cussing outside due to the fact. When I left, I saw the young lady pushing all the carts in, but that was because the customer made it an issue first. None of the handicapped carts. We're charged, but I guess they wouldn't be being that they're all outside in the rain. I will make the extra drive to go to a better location.

I signed up for their BOOST program and so far it's not worth it. My order coyote be fulfilled because the delivery was open but no one was there to actually work it. I asked why the manager didn't work it since I paid for certain items and this program. I got our on hold

5/25/25 ghetto Kroger 23231 didn't even have a person to work at the pump this morning. Several customers and I walked to the glass and no one was there. I called the store to see where the person was at and they said the person was supposed to be there LOL. 🙄 at some point the BBB needs to get involved

I was waiting for pickup and was told it would be 5 minutes, fine. 30 minutes later when I finally got ahold of the picker he said it would be another half hour. I told him to "give me what he had". He proceeded to give me 1 bag. 1. He had just started pulling my order. I was notified my order was ready at 5:00, I arrived at 5:20 and now at 5:50 I was leaving with a single grocery bag. This is unacceptable, I feel as though I have been lied to multiple times and should not have been able to place the order in the first place. The employee told me he was the only one working, and I can empathize with him. If this is the case then I should not have been able to place the order. Or at the very least do not tell me my order was ready for pickup when it clearly wasn't. Don't order pickup here or probably shop here at all.

Kroger's standard of products and service has plummeted significantly.
The indicator to stop shopping here (at Laburnum) is when the store became "One way in and one way out." They sold me spoiled seafood and don't honor the "If it's not fresh..." policy. The "customer service representatives" smell (Marijuana and musty) & the attitudes leave a lot to be desired. The store is dirty. Produce is pitiful. Corporate is no help. My money is better spent elsewhere.

I am new to Richmond and I joined Kroger's 30 day free trial on line shopping program. I made an online order and a couple of the items that were delivered to me were of low quality. So--though it defeated the purpose of shopping online--I got in my car and found the nearest Kroger store so I can take back the items I was not happy with. The nearest location to me was the one at 4816 S Laburnum Ave, in Richmond. I made sure to look up their refund policy before I headed out the door. The policy said that I can receive a refund for items purchased at another Kroger store as long as I had my receipt. Well, when I arrived at this Kroger, I found the store to be very dirty with low lighting. Trash all on the floors and the floors were dirty. I went over to the service desk and told the elderly Caucasian woman with short white hair why I was returning the items. I told her it was an online order and she asked who delivered it. I showed her my receipt and she had to make a phone call. Then she came back to me and told me to go over to the produce section to get two more celery root and white mushrooms to replace the ones I was returning. I found that odd, because she never asked if I wanted a refund or did I want to replace the items. She was making the decision for me. After searching for the items, I was only able to find the white mushrooms. They did not carry celery root. So I went back to the service desk and informed her of my experience and she proceeded to issue me a Kroger's shopping gift card. I said to her, I have my receipt, and on Kroger's website it stated that they will only issue a gift card if you did not have your receipt. Her response was, my manager will not allow me to issue a refund, but a gift card because the items were purchased at another Kroger's location. Well that's not what was stated on the website. This experience was not a good one for me. This was my first time stepping into this Kroger's location and I will never step into this store again. As a matter of fact, this is just day two of my 30 day free trial and I do not think I will be using the balance of the days left. Returning an item was quite stressful and the delivery of low quality items is not something I want to experience again. I think I will continue to shop at Walmart. At lease when I return something there, it's an easy and pain free experience.

This is more so feedback for the Kroger pickup team in regards to groceries. When groceries are loaded into the car, please please please do not place raw meat packages on the upholstery itself or on top of bags. Please put it in a separate bag. It is a risk for contamination if that package somehow gets punctured or tears and drenches chicken juice all into the car all over groceries just making a mess.
This is not the first time this has happened, I thought it was just a fluke, but this is the third time I've ran into this situation where raw meat packages were not bagged. I know the package is a long shape but this could easily be bagged in plastic or fit in a paper bag.
