More expensive than some other stores. Remodeling has cleaned the store up quite a bit.

I will say that I am unfortunately seeing a trend with Kroger grocery stores that is not positive. Aisles- too crowded with displays. Lack of training in good customer service, bagging groceries properly and worst of all infractions some pricing issues. Management trying to look busy instead of seeing a need, like another cashier line, or bagging groceries, or rotating products. There are a few stores in my area which seem to have it together- Short Pump and Laburnum Ave. are both pleasant enough.

It's still not surprising even after, remodeling, reset, restocking. What you're looking for is not to be found. "CYCLE AUDITS" It's Obviously Not Part Of Protocol, Training. Not A Fan Of Management (Need TRAINING) Frontline Cashiers Do A Good Job Of Helping You With Your Groceries, Others Seems Too Busy To Be Bothered.

So I went in today to grab a couple of things and when I got to the self-checkout, where Kroger has employed me temporarily to do free labor in order to utilize their grocery services, because they are no longer willing to PAY enough people to actually work their numerous check out lines despite making record profits in recent years, I was approached by the very kind woman who works the self checkout after she was obviously approached by what I can only call in this context a Kroger Operative (Loss Prevention presumably) who whispered in her ear. She walked up to me and in a stern voice informed me that "Those sweet potatoes are organic" even though I had already rang the sweet potatoes into their evil self checkout computer as organic.Kroger should give their employees more money or perhaps hire more people to actually work all the checkout lines which appear at this point to be merely artifacts of a bygone age and stop making their employees waste their time policing other employees to bother the customers about whether or not I did my fake job that you aren't paying me for correctly.Kroger gave up all its power when they switched to this self-checkout model and even though I ring in my groceries correctly I fully support everyone who doesn't care enough to bother to do so because it's utterly obscene what the grocery industry has imposed upon the rest of us.

If the restooms are open, they are normally dirty and sometimes no soap. Last night, the women's restroom was out of order. The tiles in the store are NASTY. Keevus is rude and very disrespectful. They typically only have 2 lanes open with the lines down the aisle. The shelves are usually half empty.

Don't make me Ring up my own groceries and then act like I didn't pay for some stuff. Y'all need to check that girl at the self Checkout because she basically accused me of stealing. She walked up to my cart and said. Did you pay for all of that? And I said yes and she snatched my receipt out of the register before. I even picked it up and started reading my receipt. Acting like she couldn't find certain things on the receipt. When I pointed them out, she then felt dumb. Don't hire these kids to act like they are gonna be security. She's lucky it was me and not my husband. And I can tell you, a lot of people in the East End ain't goin deal with her accusationsPerhaps I'll just start shopping somewhere else.

I generally love Kroger. This location, however, was the worst Kroger I've been to (so far). The store is dingy. It's in need of a renovation. It was pretty dirty when I walked through and gave off Walmart or Dollar General energy. There is no savings for buying the store brand versus name brand. There were more than a couple of items I ended up getting the name brand since the Kroger brand was the same price.Their self-checkout area was a disaster and it seems like their system is either malfunctioning or in need of an update. The lowest volume is still super loud, and it's ridiculous you can't just mute it altogether. Scanning groceries was a giant pain because it had difficulty reading all the barcodes as well as very temperamental timing, not giving customers enough time to bag their groceries before reminding us to keep scanning or calling for help to have some employee come clear it's screen.Hopefully the corporate office quits neglecting this location sometime soon.Giving them one star because all of the employees I encountered were nice, albeit seemingly not happy to be there. Overall pretty depressing location.

Self checkout horrible. Staff horrible. I spent 45 minutes to an hour. The people ahead of me were. Having trouble with checking out. It kept not taking my card and the staff couldn't get it straight they walked off on me then since I was using two payment methods said I should have used one method first, then the other and he asked the manager walking by because I said that didn't make sense and the manager didn't even answer just kept walking. The reason I used the two methods as I did was because the first one didn't have enough balance. I wanted to max it out but didn't know the remaining balance, then use the second method to pay the rest, so no it didn't make sense, so they wanted to put the cause of the drama on me. I was running late for an AA meeting and as a result I only got to catch the last 15 minutes of itwas in the same store awhile back and needed the manager and she kept trying to walk off when I was trying to get an item for the advertised price with the online coupon. I could not get it to come up on my phone. I took her to the back. She was able to bring the coupon up on her phone and held her phone up for me to see it for like a split second. I didn't see it. She wouldn't help me do it on my phone before she walked off and I just said never mind. So in both incidents they were very trifling.

Lovely staff. But it's one of those stores where you MIGHT be fine shopping one day, but another day the produce could be bad, or go bad the day after you buy it. I've regularly had to get refunds for packages of meat that were within date but went bad immediately. And while there's no hangups getting refunds online, now I have nothing to eat for dinner... To sum it up, the place is unreliable.

I’m from out of town. The pharmacy assisted me with get the prescription and was very helpful and friendly. However when I sent to checkout the “carpet” at the registers was filthy. I’m not talking a little bit but a lot of trash on the floor. The whole store could be cleaner.

If you can avoid this store I would recommend you do so. The selection is pretty poor, some aisles weren't stocked, and the store feels very cramped. There's a lot of overstock or random boxes on the floor and most aisles can barely fit two carts side by side.

Worst Kroger in Richmond. The meat department is always out of meat and this is the only Kroger in Richmond who's seafood dept closes at 6:30 pm or whenever they feel like it.

For the life of me I don't understand why anyone shops here. Nothing is ever in stock. And the produce section is always a mess

Nice job on the new carts, how about putting something on the shelves to fill them with? I have never hated a grocery store so much. They're always out of everything I shop for. The app will show items in stock that aren't on the shelves and they won't be on the shelves for weeks. It's been over a month since they've had their own brand of oat milk coffee creamer in stock.
