Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Unacceptable Customer Service at Lowe’s Stores
Dear Lowe’s Management,
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the level of customer service I have experienced at several Lowe’s locations. Unfortunately, I have repeatedly encountered a lack of professionalism and respect from employees who appear unwilling to assist and, in many cases, act in a rude and dismissive manner when handling basic customer service requests.
Recently, I made a large purchase and, instead of receiving the proper support, I was instructed to carry all the materials myself — which is completely unacceptable, especially considering the size of the order. In another instance, I simply asked an associate to change an order to delivery, and I was met with hostility and unprofessional behavior, to the point where a security guard was called, as if I had done something wrong.
It feels as though my team and I are being treated with disregard and a complete lack of consideration — as if we are not valued customers, but rather an inconvenience. This attitude has been consistent across nearly every Lowe’s location we have visited, making the situation even more concerning.
As a loyal customer who regularly makes high-value purchases at Lowe’s, I believe I deserve to be treated with respect, attentiveness, and dignity. I kindly request that this message be forwarded to store management and that immediate steps be taken to address and correct this troubling pattern of behavior, which clearly goes against the standards of proper customer service.
I look forward to your response and to seeing concrete actions taken on this matter.

Edit: the part fit, as promised!
The store is neat and well organized, and coming in right after work I was pleasantly surprised about my entire experience. The team member in plumbing was very knowledgeable, helping me to find the correct part and not the part I was ready to buy! And the customer service folks were great when I had a little hiccup ringing up my purchase.

If you can get what you want off the shelf, it's a good hardware store. If you need help, bring a book, it's going to be a while. After 20 minutes of the service request being announced throughout the store, I left and went to Home Depot.
