M&T Bank is the most unprofessional and amateur bank I have encountered in 30 years. The employees fail to communicate effectively with one another, their managers, or their customers. There is no care or effort to maintain proper communication with clients. You can wait for months with no results. It's a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. The management is extremely poor, and there is a noticeable lack of basic banking skills. Only consider using this bank if you're willing to waste your time, lose money, and test your patience.

I have had acounts/loans with various banks and credit unions over the past 30 years. M&T is the most difficult financial institution that I have ever worked with as a customer. Everything from setting up online account and payments to reaching customer service for support. The most frustrating is they even make it very difficult to pay them which is ridiculous. I got involved with M&T to help out a friend but will be moving this loan to another bank asap.

This review is for the branch and particularly for Merry, “like Christmas” as she told me when I asked. I came in to cash a check and she was so gracious and personable - professional but truly warm. I forgot something important at my visit and she went the extra mile to call me and let me know. I will be banking with M&T because, in the spirit of Christmas, and even though it’s July, Merry is a gift.

The worst bank I have ever dealt with for business. Do not use this bank for any business dealings because you will be on the phone with them each week for one problem or another.

I opened an account online and it was a very simple and easy process. The one thing that I didn't like was that it seems you have to go into the branch to open up a savings account which makes it difficult if you work a 9-5. I have to say their customer service is 10/10 and they are always nice and polite when you speak with them.

This is the worst bank ever. In order to qualify for a hardship extension payment for your loan, you have to have income. If I had income, why would I need an extension? Makes no sense. Wells Fargo nor Suncoast gave me any issue. They say a supervisor will call you back, and they never do. I've had them for a year, and it's the worst customer service I've experienced. You can't hardly understand what the reps are saying, and each one will give you a different answer to the exact same question.

I had been having issues with a new account I opened at M&T Bank so decided to contact someone. I contacted this branch on the phone. The person who answered was very sweet. While she wasn't able to help me with my issue, she kindly connected me to their 800 number. This isn't an issue with this branch, but the person who answered next was a bit condescending and told me to just go to the branch in person. This location is right off of Broad st and has a free parking lot that's easy to park in. You can make an appointment ahead of time, but thankfully it wasn't busy when I went. A banker named Kelly helped me. She was very nice. She helped me troubleshoot and gave me suggestions on how to fix my issue. While it isn't resolved quite yet, she gave me her card to call her if I had any further issues which I really appreciated.

Why is your website and mobile banking always temporarily down? This happens way more then normal. It is really burdensome when someone has bills to pay but the server isn’t hardly ever working to do so. Please fix this

I couldn't figure out how to leave a review though the bank's website. I had issues with my debit card for days but I called this branch and Betty and Sean took the extra step for me helping me figure out the issue. I couldn't thank them enough for their kindness and professionalism!
