Bought a 1985 Mustang GT sight unseen from a classic car dealer in Florida. Upon delivery, the car (which was in fantastic shape) would shut off after just a few miles. After experiencing this for some time, an associate suggested switching it over to EFI with the Holley Sniper system. After calling some local speed shops, Mustang Dons was recommended. A few phone calls with Don convinced me that he had the exact answer for what I wanted out of the conversion from carburetor to EFI. Fast forward to today and I'm now very happy with the Edelbrock ProFlo 4 sytem that they recommended and installed. Now the 'Stang starts right up and drives great! There's no other shop, in my opinion that has the expertise as the guys at Mustang Dons. I have a '91 fox body that might be another success story in the future.Stay tuned.

Don and his crew do great work with exceptional attention to detail and workmanship. I had a 64-1/2 260 engine rebuild done recently and it looks and runs great. The shop is as clean as his work. Would recommend to anyone looking to get it done right.Services: Transmission

Great experience at this local shop! A tedious repair to the rear quarter windows was made quickly and the work done perfectly. Don is helpful and knowledgeable and I was immediately confident about putting the Mustang in his care.

GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING FIRST, unless you’re looking to get ripped off.Think about it, why would a business owner with plenty of experience, be against giving you a written quote in the first place?I still make people laugh when I tell them how Don charged me $100 PER TIRE to mount and balance new wheels to a new rim.

I will second what was stated a few years ago by Mike. Mustang Don takes on my work then he can handle (constantly sites "it's only a 2 man shop") and then works on your car when he can (i'm sure he's working on multiple cars for the day, charging each customer as if their car was the sole focus of his energy for the day) so it takes longer than anticipated. I typically don't mind the wait, but then I too was getting 4 digit bills every two weeks for a job that should have been completed for at most one bill just hitting the $1000 mark.Going over my bill I would notice some funny business, like Don charging me to fix something, then in the next bill charging me because that same exact part didn't work. Why are you charging me in the last bill to fix something separate from what I want to have done (with no authorization from me) only to charge me again on the next invoice because that same part was acting up? He did the same to Mike below. He charged him several hours because his stock ebrake didn't work with the Wilwood kit, then charged him a few hours later because he said the ebrake was sticking. As mentioned below, JUST GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING. Have email quotes to go back on and a work order before you leave. Don's critics just chalk things up as a loss, while Don laughs like the monopoly man, all the way to the bank.Disgusting business practices.

When I searched for and bought my '98 Cobra in early 2018, I bought it because the suspension had supposedly already been modified with Griggs products for road course use. After dealing with several shops of varying degrees of knowledge and care, I finally trailered the Mustang to Don Rositch in February 2021. It took Don only a brief inspection to determine that the suspension on my Cobra wasn't even close to what I was sold. It had a cobbled-together mix of cheap, drag racing parts and many components that were just worn-out. This was a disappointment considering what I spent, but it was nice to know that Don's extensive knowledge and experience could bring the car up to the Griggs GR-40 level that I originally wanted. For various reasons over which Don had no control, the car was finally completed in October 2021 and I just finished a full track day at VIR Grand Course. Man, what a revelation. It does feel like the same car any more and handles better than a C5 Z06 I had for years. It had an absolute blast at the track and it felt like the car was at least 10-15 seconds faster per lap, not to mention much more controllable predictable. I was keeping up with far faster cars like, like a newish Boss 302 and C5 Z06 with downforce. Tire wear was significantly reduced and with the brake ducting, brakes were much more linear and I'm sure wear is reduced too. I can't wait for more track days in the future. As I mentioned, I did my research and decided to make the trip from Kansas to Virginia with my beloved Mustang. Save yourself some time, money, and headache. Bring your Mustang to Don and have it done right the first time. Next up for me: a Coyote swap and Tremec TKX. And yes, Don will be doing the work.
