I visited this branch with my husband explore options for a home equity loan. The banker we worked with really didn’t seem to listen to what I was asking for and spent most of our meeting seemingly typing an essay in complete silence. Not something that has been part of our experience at any other bank. After quite a while she eventually gave us the rates but only for one specific loan and didn’t even mention HELOCs, which I know is a product offered (and would have been a much better fit), but at that point it seemed to be fruitless to get actual help so we just left. I’ve heard very good things about navy federal, but I am certainly not convinced after this visit.

Had a great experience here dealing w/ an issue I had with a Navy Federal customer's check he used to pay me for a private party auto sale. Lady that assisted me, I didn't get a name, middle-aged blonde hair, demonstrated excellent service, resolve, and professionalism. She handled the issue by converting the loan check to a cashiers check and I was on my way. Stellar service and I'm not even a member.

As long as you go inside there is no problem with service. However parking is limited.

ATMs are constantly out of service or limited functionality (can’t deposit). Extremely inconvenient when the only other branch is 25 miles away. I never leave bad reviews but this is ridiculous. Happens almost every time I come after hours. I’m switching to Virginia credit union next door

Happy to find this branch live hour away by Charlottesville and couldn’t deposit cash into account near my home. NFCU didn’t suggest this branch calling for ATM to deposit cash and can’t deposit into NFCU through ATM at 7 Eleven or Wawa. Worked with NFCU by phone for pre approval for home loan from hotel nearby on 62nd birthday Friday, 05/05/23. Navy Federal Credit Union always has very best customer service.

We brought in my son's piggy bank during youth week. I didn't think about rolling the coins because I didn't have a piggy bank growing up and didn't know the drill. Rolling coins hurts because of how bad my hand eczema is, but Robert the cashier and one of the managers assisted! They gave me a paper rolls for the next time and help me get my coins rolled and counted quickly. My son was getting antsy, so we set him up on the iPad! They have literally thought of everything and I'm so grateful for the wonderful staff!

I would not advise anyone to deposit anything in the ATM especially a check! I deposited a check and I took it upon myself to call customer service days later because my deposit did not go in, however I received a text message and deposit receipt. I was told that I never made a deposit then Was transferred to the fraud department for him to tell me there was an issue with the deposit. I did not receive a phone call nor email stating any type of issue. THE COMMUNICATION/CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. Now I have to wait for my own money.

My fiancé and I went in to withdraw some cash. LaSavior (teller) greeted us with "next!" My fiancé asked her for $200 in cash. When she asked him how he wanted it, there was a lot of noise in the branch and she was clearly irritated that he repeated the question back to her to clarify. She handed him a stack of bills without counting and rolled her eyes when he counted it himself. She never offered him an envelope, thanked him for coming in, or in any other way expressed appreciation for him being a (40+ year) member or did anything to make the transaction pleasant. We will be contacting corporate headquarters to close his accounts and invest the money in another institution that will appreciate our patronage.

In my opinion this Credit Union is very inconsistent. Sometimes a very pleasant experience and other times Horrid. When I have called to discuss my account I sometimes get a condescending operator. Very sad this is for military members and their families who have served our country. We should be treated with dignity and respect like a valued customer. Sadly, I do not feel like we are. The phone operators need “ people skill” training and in my opinion we are the clients and they do work for us. Ty
