Unbelievable experience with Office Depot overall. Ordered an hp laptop online, total was $508. They delivered a cheap asus vivobook. 3 calls and 5 customer rep transfers later to the 800 number later, I was told to return it to the Glen Allen store and pick up the hp laptop there. They would not take it despite the return authorization and told me the store at 6301 s broad st had the laptop and I could pick it up there. Drove the 45 minutes only to be told I would be charged again for the laptop (that I already paid for!!!). Left empty handed. Spent the entire day on the phone trying to cancel the entire order and get a refund. They told me I could bring the wrong laptop back to the store. Been there done that and they wouldn't take it. They then sent me a return label but it was not prepaid and ups wanted $$ to pick it up!!! Wtf?!??! This is customer service??

This is actually the first time I've been to an OfficeMax, and I was thoroughly impressed. I came here to print out some documents using one of their self service printers that they had available, and my experience was great. The printer worked fine, and the staff were very helpful. All of the staff members were polite, and asked if I needed any assistance. The store itself was very clean and everything was neat and tidy. If you're in the Richmond area and you need any office supplies, come down to OfficeMax!

Marissa Goode, and Nicole Crowder are awesome, they helped me place a print job order and provided amazing customer service even though I didn't fully know what I wanted!! Will defiantly be back again!!

OfficeMax ...as in Office Maxium... should change its name to OfficeMin as in Minimum. This store is the K-Mart of office supply stores. It's close by my house, so if I'm desperate for something I need right away, I'll venture in. Occasionally they will have what I need, poster board, highlighters, etc. But more often than not, I can't find the item I'm looking for. The shelves are under stocked and the service is understaffed. The employees don't seem to like their jobs and when I asked someone to help me locate some bankers boxes, he goes, "check the box aisle". Really? I just did, that's why I'm asking you. "Well, we must be out, check our website." Naw, that's ok, I'll try Staples. Way to lose customers.

Went in their 6300 block Broad St store in Richmond Va to get business cards. Ask the lady clerk about getting cards like I had, which had come from this store. She proceeded to work on a computer at the counter, then turned it around and said here you can do it yourself. And staryed to leave, so I said thanks but I will go else where. She was perhaps the worst clerk I have ever come across. Went about a mile up the road to a Staples and in less than 10 mins had approved new cards, set up by their clerk, paid for them and was out the door. WON'T BE BACK TO OFFICE DEPOT

I am very disappointed in office max and office depot. Mainly in how they treat teachers now. Office max and Depot used to cater to teachers and support them but the past 4 to 5 years thus has changed. I went in today to pick up items from the ad for my classroom. I had stuff loaded in my cart and paid close attention to the limits and had items that had no limit in my cart. I then went to pick up some items that had a limit. In the past the limit was 30 for teachers but a couple years ago I was at the checkout before they told me the policy changed and it was only double the current limit. So today I wanted to verify before getting a cart full of materials for my classroom. The young man didn't know the policy so he had to call a manager. She said she didn't know what the policy was right now so I could only get the limit of 12 for notebooks. I said nevermind, and walked out. I am not going to support this business any more after I have complained multiple times over the years where they have shown less respect for teachers. It's a shame because we teachers spend a lot of money in our classroom, now I will spend it elsewhere and tell my coworkers to shop elsewhere too.

I want to commend Kris James for her above and beyond customer service. I had order file cabinets from the headquarters. The delivery of these was a disaster! I called the 800 number to reschedule delivery. I had a confirmation that my request had been received however, they were still delivered on the wrong date. They were left on the door step although I was home and they could have been brought into the house. I found them outside in the rain. I had a miserable experience calling customer service at the 800 number. No help whatsoever. I called this store and spoke with Kris. She was so very helpful to the extent that she and one of the guys from the store came to my house and got the boxes to my garage to await assembly. I was so impressed that someone who did not have a stake or responsibility for me or my order would do this. I will always use this store and Office Max because of her. My experience with the lack of customer service would have sent me to any other office supply store if it were not for Kris. Thank you, Kris.

Run and hide. Going into any public restroom is a gamble, but this was worse than a overflowing portable toilet at a concert. The rest room had not been cleaned since, well who can tell? Paper all over the floor, overflowing trash cans and no soap!

For your printing needs, save yourself the grief and go visit Elliot at the Innsbrook location. This location is disorganized and leaves a lot to be desired. I normally have Elliot do all of my printing, but one day last week I went to the Innsbrook location only to be met by someone else who most definitely was not Elliot and he told me that they were too understaffed to do the job. Huh. So, I moseyed on down Broad Street and came to this office max. The original woman who helped me named Rashida was good, but the problem is that she's not the one who did the job of printing my wedding programs. I brought my own paper and an example of what it was supposed to look like to make this job as easy on them as possible. They called me the next day to say that my proof was ready. I went in, and the "proof" looked nothing like what it was supposed to. They printed the wrong document. Great. So they wasted my time and made me even more frustrated. I worked with someone else and they assured me that the job would be done correctly by the next day. The packs of paper that I had consisted of two colors. I told them that it was okay if some programs were one color and some the other color. Well, when I came back to pick up my completed prints, everything was cut and printed correctly, but they had opened up every single pack of paper and only used one of the colors for all of the programs. This means that because they didn't follow my instructions, I can't return any of the expensive packs of paper. I have a couple of other things to be printed before my wedding in 10 days, but I can assure you I won't be coming here to get it done!

It's huge, biggest I've seen... I suppose I can't leave my review at just that... There's a lot of stuff here, you're always greeted at the door, and asked if you need help. Their website will say they have something in store, but then won't. Best to call first. Most everything they have for sale is too expensive for its own good, that includes same items... Then again, I'm cheap. Sooo... Yeah. This hasn't turned out to be much of a review, but it's an office max what do you need me to tell you about it. . .

Came in here looking for some supplies for my planner and was unable to find anything useful. I've been in this location three times now and have never found everything that I needed. The isles are pretty widely spaced and a good 1/4 of the store is dedicated to office furniture. The staff were polite and offered assistance at least. I wouldn't make this my go to for office supplies. There is less variety here than other supply stores.

This store is always empty. But it's an office store on the end of a bus line (the Broad street 6), so that's something. Polite staff, copying and printing and all that. Returns with receipt for store credit.
