Don't pass by this Richmond treasure! We always make a point of stopping at Stella's when we travel up/down I-95 and it's easy on/off too.

It was our first time at Stella's. We wished to get there so many times but were out of luck related to very limited reservations. I have heard fantastic things about this place and could not wait to experience myself. My husband and I came for day date for lunch, to enjoy beautiful day and catch up. We were sitted and greeted pretty fast. Since it was our first time, it took us some time to explore options, however, with a help of our waiter we landed on a sampler platter dish! It was plenty of food for lunch for two. Food tasted great and gave a great preview for the next time. The only thing that bothered me, was the fact that our waiter totally dismissed my husband, like he was not present. Waiter seemed to be intentional with making sure that I was happy, however, not once asked if my husband needed anything or how he is doing. Could be looked as “ treating the queen” first thing, however, I would prefer treating both of us equally. Overall, cute place with nice family vibe! I would love to come back soon to try some more food.

The restaurant is loud, but not disruptive. We were served by Jon, who was very intentional and kind. The food was outstanding! The feta, the fresh veggies, and multiple options - all with generous portions! My date and I had a wonderful anniversary dinner.

Calamari was crisp, as requested, and very high quality. Loved the sauce. The moussaka was beyond perfect. It is moussaka to dream of. The No. 5 baked pasta with cheese and meat sauce could easily , at least at lunch, be halved. I was aware it was going to be large by the great waiter; but seriously, consider cutting the portion and price at lunch? Loved the fact that the waiter let us linger and catch up . The restaurant is noisy and is not for the faint of heart. Patrons are very happy to be there and are vocal. Lunchtime few were drinking. Nighttime the Chardonnay shout must be painful. The authenticity of the recipes and preparation are hard to beat

I'm so glad they put our party of six (after a 23 minute wait) in the very back because closer to the front was so noisy.

Love Stella's. The octopus and mushroom appetizers where amazing and the cocktails were yummy. John was a great waiter. I got the Branzino and it was overall good but the rice and spinach for the side was not good at all. No flavor and they gave me a huge amount. Felt like just a mountain of blah. Will definitely go back but will try something else.

When crowded, this wonderful restaurant can get noisy. Everything was enjoyable, lamb chops great and reasonable, martini was cold, my companion was delighted. Going back even though reservations need to be made well in advance. Ambiance warm wood and understated.

Stellas is an amazing experience. Food is delicious and the vibe is lively! We had the halibut with shrimp risotto and the crab cakes and everything was wonderful prepared and beautifully seasoned. We have never been disappointed with Stella's. We also had an amazing brussels sprouts sausage appetizer I highly recommend. The services was excellent as always.

This was our first time at Stellas and it was a great experience. Two cautionary points: You need to book reservations at least a week in advance, a night out at Stellas is memorable but can stretch your budget ($220, including tip for us). Our Server was excellent and had great knowledge of the menu. Started with Greek style Cucumber Gin and Tonic for wife and Greek style Martini for me accompanied by a basket of fresh bread and olive oil. A good start. Followed up with Greek style Rockefeller Oysters for my wife and Keratopita for me (spiced ground beef with grated Greek cheeses wrapped in phyllo with tzatzki sauce). Bread was replenished without having to ask. Loved the Phyllo. That makes it two for two. For our entree we split Halibut with shrimp, red peppers, feta cheese, artichokes over rice. I ordered a side of roasted potatoes since I am not a great fan of rice. Everything was excellent. the Halibut was fresh tasting and cooked to perfection. The potatoes serving was large and very good. That completes a hat trick. Augmented the entree dish with a glass of Greek pinot noir which was very tasty. Finished the night splitting a serving of Carmel Gelato topped with sesame chocolate crumbles and cream honey. Cappuccino was called for but the restaurant does not serve which put hitting for the circuit in jeopardy. But our Server advised we could get a cup made to order across the street at their affiliated market. And right she was, earning her cash gratuity.

What I don't like is the male or female bathrooms. Excuse the bluntness, men miss the bowl & hit the floor. I don't want that on my shoes soles. Yet it happened. Except for the few things Stella's food & service never disappoints.
