My new husband and I wanted to do a dessert table for our wedding and we LOVED all the desserts from The Mixing Bowl! We got just a 1 tier 2 layer cake and it arrived exactly as we asked, sleek and minimal and the perfect stage for our cake topper. We got mini cupcakes which were the perfect size for a bite and they were moist and so flavorful. The eclairs were a crowd favorite with the banana cream! They are soooo good! Eclairs are my favorite dessert and these were filled nicely and still so yummy days later. The cookies were crunchy and a great size. We got a lot of comments about how good all the desserts tasted. From the tasting box, the booking and updating our final count, the process was easy. We were so pleased with the entire spread and definitely recommend!

Our experience with The Mixing Bowl for our wedding cake was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we met the staff during the 2023 Richmond Weddings Winter Show we knew we would be in good hands. The team at The Mixing Bowl listened attentively to our vision and preferences, and they went above and beyond to bring it to life.The planning process was fun and unique. We loved the tasting box-to-go and being able to sample the cake flavors; mixing and matching to our liking from our home. Once we were ready to order our cake the staff was friendly, professional, and accommodating throughout the entire process. They were responsive to our inquiries and made the entire experience stress-free.On our special day, seeing our stunning cake on display was truly a special highlight from our day. The cake we ordered was a work of art. It beautifully designed to match our wedding theme, and the taste was incredible. Our guests loved how delicious it was! It exceeded all of our expectations and added an extra touch of elegance to our celebration. Stopped by on Valentines Day after seeing the Facebook post they had sweet treats for the holiday. I bought 4 cupcakes, 2 heart shaped personal cakes and a 2 layer heart shaped cake. I took the cake for a friends Galentines dinner, when the cake was cut the layers of cake we stale and hard, and the icing just crumbled. The cake was not even editable, the personal small cakes were a surprise for parents and my mom said the same about those. The 4 cupcakes were the BEST out of the almost $50.00 that I spent. I love a bakery and The Mixing Bowl did my daughters first birthday cake 20yrs ago. I sent a message on FB with no response, I did say in my message no need to respond but you would think the manager or owner would've responded.

This bakery made my wedding cake, and it was perfect! I have never been disappointed. I normally don't like cannolis but their cannolis are to die for! The staff are super friendly. And the atmosphere is so cute. Definitely will be back soon to get more cannolis. Lol.

I wanted a cake for my sister’s 60th birthday. I sent a message as I’m in Florida and Tracey made it happen from a picture and a few texts! It was beautiful and exactly what I’d asked for! Yummy too!! I love her sweet bakery and she’s always the nicest! Just stop in anytime! There’s always yummy treats. You won’t be disappointed!! Thank you Tracy!!!

I purchased two pies for thanksgiving from them as they were recommended to me. The pumpkin pie was good but very shallow. The apple pie was one of the worst pies I have had unfortunately. It looks good but the filling tasted very tart with no spices (sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, etc.)and it was very shallow. It tastes like straight lemon juice. Very disappointed and will not be going here for pies again.

My son was coming in town for the for the night and he loves Mixing’s Bowl carrot sticks. She made them for the next day. I was impressed! Oh he did them justice. He loves them and give me more time to order!

The Mixing Bowl did our main cake, groom’s cake, and dessert table for our wedding and it was perfection! Great assortment of treats available to choose from and the cakes are divine! Customer service is excellent, very friendly staff!

Ordered 6 cupcakes and asked for their most popular. These taste just fine! However, the presentation is really underwhelming. I thought it was a mistake at first. The wrapping is basically off the cupcakes, which makes it look like they took them out, flipped them upside down and iced the bottoms? If they were just for my family I wouldn’t have minded, but I bought them for a small party. I felt embarrassed to serve these so we got a small Publix’s cake instead. ?I think they do lovely wedding cakes here based on other pictures I’m seeing, but if you’re just looking for cupcakes there are a lot of other places around Henrico selling standard cupcakes that look better than these.

We ordered a birthday cake from here for a toddler. It was less than a week when we messaged them with our specifics of wheels on the bus theme. The cake theme was perfectly done and flavors were great too with perfect moist and sweetness. Very impressed with the overall experience and professionalism of Tracy all around. We will surely go back again!!
