I'm just not sure what the issue is with this place. All three times I've went I've had a negative experience.
I can understand someone having a bad day, but the clerks here are always so difficult to work with. My last experience was especially bad. There was only one clerk working, and people lined up out the door. I finally get to the desk and was told I needed to pay $19 to mail a pin and a bracelet to Canada. At my last post office, I mailed a bracelet to Israel for $5. She also insisted I couldn't use the mailer I brought, saying the label wouldn't fit on it - even though it clearly could have. She made me get out of line twice, acting as me filling out an address and customs form would take me 10 minutes. It took me less than 30 seconds.
It sucks cause this post office is right next to me, but I just don't see myself ever using it again. I'd rather drive 10 minutes to one that isn't inclined to ship things out for the highest possible price.

Hard to find in the basement of the hoemwood (entrance is on main st) but staff were very friendly and helpful.

Which ever mail carrier delivers for the Maymont area should not have a job since they CANNOT read. I’ve asked several times to stop delivering mail to people that don’t belong. I have notes on my mail box asking for the household name only for mail… and still you can’t seem to do that. Also, my mail carrier has not taken back mail that I write return to sender, the USPS is a complete dumpster fire

Brook Rd…. Richmond Va!! ATTACKED BY RASPUTIA!! For 3 days I go to my P.O. Box searching for a package that was delivered early Monday morning! Monday I check the P.O. Box but it wasn’t there. I went back yesterday morning at 9am and was told it was possibly still on the truck. I check back yesterday evening and was told they never received it. I provided tracking and proof of delivery then all of a sudden they admit they scanned it on Monday morning but the person who scanned it wasn’t there. I was advised they would have him call me. This morning I check my P.O. Box.. still no package.. I ring the bell to talk with them again and the same guy who told me it was still possibly on the truck then asked whose name was on the package. I gave my son’s name… the SAME name I gave him Monday. He decides to argue with me that my sons name is not on my P.O. Box therefore they didn’t put the package in my box! I CLEARLY completed the application in office, added my son’s name as family. I asked for a supervisor.. meanwhile a big, fat, beastly Amazon appears from hell verbally attacking me, yelling and screaming at me about saying she handles the P.O. Boxes so I guess she felt offended. She called me shawty and kept attempting to be combative! The supervisor even appeared to be afraid of her! Ghetto as ghetto can be! I guess they must’ve pulled her from the alley and gave her that job cause there’s no way she earned it! USPS should be embarrassed to have that thing as an employee! She’s rude, nasty, disgusting. Confrontational and deserves to lose her job! The package was located and my son now has it. However, all the hell I went through to get it was avoidable and quite unnecessary! Incompetence at its finest! Had they told me when I submitted the application that he needed to be with me with his ID we would’ve complied!

You always have to wait about 5-10 minutes just to get someone at the front desk and when they come it’s never pleasant. I was next in line and the lady told me “next time wait till I call you up here” ??? girl goodbye I dont work for you don’t ever talk to me like that learn how to service your customers and get some manners

This system is impracticable to use. I have tried 4 times and the choices do not even come close to being able to ask a simple voiced question! I give up!
