Service has been out for almost 8 hours.
Everything says intermittent issues. Nothing intermittent about it. It is just off. Why lie? Just be real with people.
The text they send say click here for full details or outage map. It is not an outage map. There are no full details. Very frustrating dealing with Cox. I have been thinking of Glo Fiber just because they are cheaper and have much higher upload speeds. This might push me over the edge.
Update: Rob, thank you for responding. My point is not just that service is awful it is that you are trying to spin to make it not seem as bad as it is and that you are trying to act as if you are giving more information than you really are.
Also, all my router settings were set back to the original. I know you can access the router but why would you reset settings and passwords back to the default?
Update Nov 4, 2024. I came back to leave another negative review only to realize I'd already left one.
We have moved to another service provider and so I canceled my Cox service about 10 days after I paid the bill. I thought I would get a refund for the time I wasn't using the service. Instead, Cox is billing me an additional $50. After a half hour on the phone trying to figure out why I was being billed another $50 and not being able to be told I hung up.
I give up you. You win Cox.
I'll pay the 50 bucks for leaving. I'll kiss my money that should've been refunded, Goodbye.
It's not worth $100 bucks to deal with your customer service process.

I been with cox since 1982 when they just had the black box you have to get up and change channels I was only 14 years old never ask for a id back then but anyway I had cable and internet it was like 300 a month so 4 months ago got rid of my box and cable and kept the Internet because on Roku TV you can get anything you want longs you have Wi-Fi and that’s all I need but if they were that bad, I got rid of Cox long long long long time ago, but I’ve been with them ever since 1982 their service is very, very good . Spent over an hour on their chat service about a non-working remote. The final answer was I need to go to their store and BUY a new unit as remotes aren't part of what I pay for. Hoping new providers and competitors will help someday.

I work from home and have had to use PTO to cover how many hours I have missed bcuz of an outage. $70 a month for just internet and there has been about 10 to 15 outages within the last month. What am I paying such a high premium for?

Scamming me out my money. They charged me for having a rep cal. Me about payment then they charged me to cut it on when it was temporary suspended. All the surprises charges may me want to leave.

My wife and I are moving in 2 weeks. She does online classes so I am trying to call ahead of time to talk to them about their internet service. They are open today according to the posted hours but haven't answered any of my 7 calls. We are over an hour away, work full time, selling our home, buying a home, and she does online classes. So we can't just simply do as the prompt says "stop by our office." Is the phone in the office just for looks? ?

Tried cox internet their free installation included them dropping off the equipment at my door. I tried to install for the service but didn't have any cables within the house to install. I returned the box and now they are trying to charge me 50 bucks for the month. Would not recommend

This is the worst internet company in Roanoke. I don't have internet half the time, and I pay 60 dollars a month. I lose internet every other hour. So gaming, streaming your favorite shows, and online college is trash through them. Your phones Hotspot will do a better job than this company.
