Garbage internet speeds. I have the plan with the supposed highest speeds. That's not what I get. Constant buffering, interruptions, outages, always needs rebooted. What is fast though is high quickly Cox raises their rates. There should Try any other option first. Dial up, cups and strings...

Went to this store to return my equipment after cancelling my service. Should be a quick in and out. I ended up having to leave after waiting an hour because I was late for something. Then coming back later and and waiting another 45 min just to be spoken to. My transaction took less than 2 minutes. This is just a final reminder never get this service again.

My Cox bill for Internet has been messed up since July, I received a confirmation having applied for a federal discount of $30.00 on 07/11/2023. It should be $39.99 Internet -$30 = like Every month to pay $9.99 I received an email from Discover card saying unusual charges from Cox charged $9.99 on 09/23 and on 09/27/23 charged $39.99 under commercial use. I chatted with Mohd (Cox) on 07/30/23 , he promised me to issue a credit of $39.99 within 5 days.Did not get credit so I made a dispute with Discover card, It's came in my favour so I got credit back of $39.99 on 08/14/2023. August 11 Cox bill showing -$20.01 September 10 cox bill showing Payment chargeback $39.99 and returned payment fee $50.00 which is not correct.I chatted with Cox representative Eswar on 09/19 . hard to make him understand that i am on auto pay since i am with Cox. You overcharged me $39.99 and now you charge back payment? , also you are charging $50.00 return fee . He was not knowledgeable to understand why once again charges for $39.99 ? and why I disputed $39.99 . Why should I pay a return payment fee of $50.00 because of your wrong billing?. Need to waive 39.99+ 50 =89.99. Please help me as hard to make someone ( Cox customer service) understand , Also advise me where can i complain about wrong billing? Thanks Mukesh Pandya

Crappiest internet in Roanoke, go with GloFiber. Switching after 17 years in January due to Cox’s “customer service” being all but useful.

Store staff were SUPER helpful and gave me a competitive price for service so I will not be switching to GloFiber. I’ll definitely go back into the store when I need something rather than calling.

UPDATE!!!: so my wifi problem continued and cox sent out two technicians yesterday because it was the actual coax cord that went to the power line that had been weathered and chewed by animals and such and the one gentleman's name was Clyde but I didn't get the other gentleman's name but they finally got my wifi working! They ran all new wiring out on the power line and bless their hearts it wasn't in the easiest of places to complete this task, but they did it, and they were so kind and professional!! I couldn't be more happy with my cox service ☺️ thankyou so so much to everyone who helped in the last week to figure out what the problem was. I'm so grateful ?!!I've got cox home internet and I had been having trouble with my wifi. Day 1, the cox virtual assistant tried troubleshooting the problem and sent a technician out for me for the following day, I'm not sure what he did but he got it working, until he left, then it immediately went right back to the same problem, no wifi. Day 2, the cox virtual assistant tried troubleshooting the problem again and requested that I went and exchanged out my router at this store. I dealt with James and he was AMAZING!! He made the process super painless and quick and easy. He was super friendly and I really appreciate his help! Cox has been beyond wonderful and I'm super happy with my choice to use them for my home internet service ❤️ ? THANKS JAMES!! AND THANKS COX!!!

no point in having a phone number if it's not going to be answered... terrible service all around i hate this society& to mention being a customer for DECADES and NO discounts given nor offered... meanwhile new customers are getting much lower prices (which wouldn't be an issue because it'd match the service)

this store is not open as of July 21, 2023. it is being remodeled. I learned this from one of the contractors at the store after I drove 30 minutes to replace a piece of equipment. no mention of this on the phone messages and their automated queuing system gives out no warning either. After calling Cox service no one else seems to know the store is closed. great job Cox!

Cox is the worst utility company with which I have ever dealt. We just moved and in both this home and our previous home,, we have had completely unreliable service and non-existent customer service. First house we spent months opening and reopening tickets for the same issues. They repeatedly ruled out any problems on our property but would never fix the broader issues on their infrastructure. Finally after many more complaints from other neighbors, they fixed a problem with the node on their network but we continued to have service disruptions. They have had half a tree hanging from their lines for almost a year, but despite numerous tickets and multiple promises they would take care of it, they will not remove it. Now we’re in a new house in a neighborhood miles away and still having issues. Apparently the neighborhood households had to all report service issues a couple of years ago b/c Cox said they would not fix their infrastructure unless at least 10 households opened tickets. They fixed part of the issue, but never fixed the flooding junction box to the neighborhood so issues continue. I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL GLO FIBER GETS TO THIS PART OF THE COUNTY- we’ll all be leaving Cox at that point.

Poor, expensive service. Even in the face of competitors moving into their monopoly. Internet has been going down this week, had to talk to one of the trucks to see what the deal is. Absolutely no notice was given that they're attempting upgrades. Glad I don't depend on my internet for work.

I went to discontinue service for my Mom. She's 99 and can't hear the TV (shows have so much unnecessary sounds) and can't see ,(macular degeneration) so it was a waste of over $100 a month.They didn't give me a hard time, no trying to sell me something else, I was impressed with their ethical stance.

Cox is bad. Constant connection issues they refuse to fix. They say they can't find anything wrong, but why do so many websites and games have issues? No one else I know, except for other Cox customers, have these issues.updated 5/6/23:Sporadic connection issues. Bad service. If you have a choice, go with someone else.

Hands down the worst internet I've ever experienced. I work from home and cannot go a day without service going in and out, or me having to set up a hot spot on my phone just to do my job. I've had technicians come out and tell me I need to "rent boosters for $x a pop"... absolutely not. I'm in the middle of a short term move and cannot wait to cancel this internet. You'd be better off going to the library and hooking up to the free wifi there then paying $80 per month for this.
