“I originally posted this review of Harvey’s on their BBB sanctioned web site a few days ago—Saturday January 24th. Here’s a copy/paste of it, with before & after photos. Seeing is believing!
Today was my second time to have Harvey's launder/dry clean my clothes-first time, back in May 2025, they did an excellent job on my navy Emporium Armani blazer. Yesterday afternoon I dropped off my Eddie Bauer cold weather parka. It'd been over a decade since I had it professionally cleaned, and the exterior front of it was so unbelievably filthy and stained by dirt & grease that it looked like it had been dropped in an oil puddle at a mechanic's garage.
I love this jacket, l've had it for 30 years, it kept me warm in brutally cold Santa Fe winters in the 1990's.. That said, the stains seemed so deeply embedded, I wasn't counting on it looking fully cleaned by any means.
It was agreed it'd be ready Monday since I dropped it off so late on Friday. Pleasant surprise: they phoned me (Saturday morning) that it was ready if I could pick it up before noon today.
I had a look at their web site before heading over. It states that they pride themselves on getting out really tough stains. Man did they ever deliver on that! ALL of the grease and dirt splotches are gone, Completely.
Honestly, this parka is practically looking brand new. Top it off with how friendly and efficient they are, and this business has earned my highest praise and 5 stars. Can't believe my luck in finding them.
Final note: the head honcho said he wanted me to have my jacket today since we're expecting a serious cold front with snow and ice tonight, so he pushed up the due date.
Man, how often do you find a merchant who is THAT nice? And one that does superb work, to boot.

If ever you need something or have any kind of issue you can definitely count on the owner Mike to take good care of you and do what he can to assist in any way possible. It’s very apparent he cares genuinely about doing the right thing and providing good customer service which isn’t easy to find and why I absolutely recommend coming here! “Hands down best in town. I’ve brought her multiple items to alter and repair and she’s been wonderful.
Items have range from hemmed pants, to fixed zippers, to long sweaters taken in and sleeves taken up, lining of a dress stitched down, elastic added to hems of pants for a sweat pant look, and elastic added to the back of a dress taken in so I can slide it on but it still fits around the waist.
Sad to be moving out of VA and unable to use her anymore :(”
“Very clean, quiet atmosphere. TV, chairs, baskets & tables to use. All equipment is clean and in working condition. I did meet the woman who cleans there (in the evening) about a week ago & she was super-sweet. The 7-11 next door is very convenient (busy but had the staff to cover). Would i go here again? Absolutely!”

“My adult children and grandchildren were injured badly in a car accident. They are all blessed to be alive. We live a little over two hours from Roanoke. Two of my family members had to be flown into Memorial. I left home quickly I order to be with my family but only took three changes of clothing. I ran out of clean laundry on Wednesday. The first laundry with high reviews said they could have my clothes ready on Friday. Yeah Right. When I spoke to the kindest gentleman at Wheeler’s he worked me in and had my clothes fresh and clean the same day by 2:00. On top of that, this gentleman said I had enough on me and would not accept payment. I can’t recall the last time a stranger has shown such simple compassion. There is a higher reviewed laundry just two buildings away but this business made time for me when I really needed someone to help. Thank you so much for your kindness. I am grateful.”

“This laundry mat is the best one in the area. The washer work the price is cheaper than other ones and your clothes actually get clean. Also cute they have a vending area for snacks and drinks!!”
“I needed to wash my king size heavy weight comforter. Its been years since using a public facility to wash closes so I was unsure and out of touch with how this process would go. I'm very impressed with the heavy duty washer and drivers ! Reasonable prices $3.50 for 42min dryer and $8.60( I think) for the heavy duty front load washers it appears to have gotten my blanket good and clean. Plus there 8s no more need for quarters. They have a reusable card you can purchase at a kiosk inside the facility, to add your cash or debit/ credit card ( I think it was $1.00 to purchase) .. and you just simply sit the plastic card in the card holder on the outside of the machines to pay for the wash/ dry.. Very convent and easy to use!. I will differently be back ! It's a clean welcoming public place to wash . 5 starts !”

“Use this laundromat many times the lady that comes in there doing the cleaning is awesome and kind been mistreated many times she doesn't put up with any of the letting home was hang out their opening the bathroom door for them so they can take a freaking shower I know because I've been in there and she clearly knows the rules so people that are posting bulshit on here save the drama. You're not helping by telling lies God's watching”
