“The Petco store in Roanoke Virginia has some very knowledgeable people and a great overall staff. They have fair pricing for most items however since I was buying fish I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the fish tanks in the store. The fish were in good shape but with the tanks being less than clean left doubt about there healthcare and well being.
UPDATE:02/07/2026 : I just visited the store again and I was amazed how clean the tanks were and the amazing selection of fish they had , I purchased a few rope fish and a few others, very pleased to say the least and as always the staff was amazing and super friendly . You have a customer that will always support you and the store thanks for being my local go too pet store for all my pet needs.”

Worker is caring and loving on my bird !
I call almost every day and they take time out of their business to go to my bird so I can talk to him.
When I pick up my bird , he is happy to see me, he always look good not stressed or sad ?.

Be watch for a period of time
They COVER my bird Baby AT Night
At my request
So he can feel like he is home
When I pick him up
He doesn’t look Stressed because he was there - he Is Loved - All the workers watch after Him
Andy keeps trying to hold him and he Loves him even after Baby Bites him.
He as Healthy as I left him

“Wonderful store for pet items and gifts and items for pet lovers. Pet food, treats, supplements, toys, etc. Plus bird feeders, seed, wind chimes, outdoor benches, etc. Other merchandise such as travel mugs, t-shirts, jewelry, candles, and so much more! They also have an on-site groomer and self wash pet station. Very nice!!”
