“When our previous dog got older and needed extra care when we were away, we trusted About Pets Center with her needs. We now have a new dog (a puppy). We knew from day one we would take him to About Pets Center. Because our new dog is from a social breed, we take him at least twice a week for daycare so he can see his dog friends! We have had him groomed there, and we aim to have his nails done monthly (they come out smooth and rounded unlike the jagged splits that the vet produced!). The owners will help educate you on every aspect they can about your dog (a puppy is new to us!). Our dog loves to visit and shakes with excitement on our way through the door. He loves About Pets Center!”

I had initially added on a paw pad treatment, but after Kaitlyn finished up with her nails, she knew it would’ve been too much for her, so she chose to forego it & dropped it off off my receipt. I appreciated that so much! Nails are short & filed, coat is silky soft, and my girl is happy. 10/10!”

“Today I just wanted to say thank you to the incredible team at the Salem VA store.

My family and I bought chickens back in March, and we’ve been coming back regularly for all of our feed and supplies. Today was a little different—my husband, who is in the military, is away for training, so I made the trip on my own with our two young children.

I walked in pushing a double stroller while pulling a shopping cart behind me, and almost immediately two employees asked if there was anything they could help me with. After finishing my shopping with a full cart, the employee at the register offered to load everything into my car. I tried to help, but she just smiled and said, “Go ahead and take a seat in your car—I have it handled.”

It may have seemed like a small act of kindness, but to this tired mom, it meant so much. I can’t express the relief I felt knowing I didn’t have to juggle two little ones, a stroller, and a cart full of feed by myself. At no point did they make me feel like I was inconveniencing them or that I was a burden for needing a little extra help.

Thank you for treating your customers with such care and compassion. Those simple acts of help made a stressful errand so much easier, and I’ll remember it for a long time.
