About Basilica of Saint Andrew
The Basilica of Saint Andrew, located high on a hill in Roanoke, VA, is a stunning example of Victorian Gothic architecture, built in 1900 and declared a Minor Basilica in 2023. Visitors appreciate its beauty, both inside and out, featuring beautiful stained glass and a peaceful atmosphere. The friendly staff are welcoming, offering information about the church's history and different areas for prayer. Mass services are held, although some attendees have noted that certain sermons may include political themes. While the basilica can feel quiet at times, it is highly recommended for anyone visiting Roanoke, making it one of the most beautiful cathedrals in America. Tours are available to explore its rich history dating back to 1882.

If for some unknown reason you do not believe in the presence of Christ in the Eucharist, you will feel the presence of God merely standing before this building.
The mass was great and the clergymen were friendly too.
