“I had lunch here with a group of 60+. The staff was excellent - friendly, competent. The interior is beautiful and perfect for a group gathering. The exterior is getting a little sad, though - a hole in the front screen door, peeling paint. It's still a very nice place.”

“It was such a pleasure to work with the Bent Oaks Manor team. Our couple hosted their wedding rehearsal and send off brunch here and were so happy to have found this location as a Wedding Headquarters. All their groom's party had the ability to stay in one location and they were able to keep the celebration going all weekend long. Communication was a breeze and the Manor's grounds and indoor spaces were immaculately kept. We would highly recommend this location to other couples, friends, and family in the future!”
“Elmwood Park is a central location for all of Roanoke to visit. I was impressed by the adequate parking, lots of shade trees and open spaces.
Roanoke,, as like any other mountainous area, can be very hilly. It made my ability to use my rolling walker a tad difficult.
However, I took my time walking and was happy to see others with mobility devices out there also.

“We went to Mommy Time for the first time today with my 2.5 yr old and 7m old, and I was so impressed! This is by far one of the cleanest indoor playgrounds that we have been to. My 2.5 yr old was occupied climbing, running, playing, and building at the different centers for over 2 hours! I didn’t catch her name but the women at the front desk was super nice and even offered us a lollipop on our way out the door. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!”

“My husband and I had our wedding reception here last weekend and we were so pleased with how it turned out. Hannah Martin catered to all of our many requests with such a calming demeanor. We had a large wedding and could not find a venue that would comfortably fit everyone along with the other vendors and decor that come with weddings. Charter Hall ended up being the perfect size customized to our wants and needs with guests stating they did not feel crammed. We rented out the second floor for cocktail hour live music and the third for the main reception hall. Hannah was so helpful throughout the months long process of planning a wedding and went above and beyond to make our day memorable and smooth sailing. Thank you Hannah!”

“Lovely hotel with beautiful views, especially in the snow. It is at the top of a very steep hill. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and nicely appointed. The lobby area has a bar/dining room, space with comfy chairs and fireplace, and there is also outdoor seating.”

“Well located. Two post COVID gripes - lack of room keeping (starts on 3rd day - that's ridiculous) and the 'restaurant' closed at lunch time. OK otherwise.”
“I spent 4 days working at the CoLab and I had a great experience. The space is clean, fairly quiet for a co-working space, and the management was very friendly and attentive. The parking was convenient and the complimentary coffee was much appreciated. They had an easy to use app to gain entry to the building and book meeting rooms if needed. When I return to Roanoke, I will definitely be using the CoLab again.”
“Had the nachos and boneless wings, they were excellent! Restrooms and bowling area were extremely clean. Only reason not getting 5 stars is it being a bit outdated. This place is immaculate for the age though!”

“Lately my experience in newer Holiday Inn Express hotels have been great. This one was great too. Nice clean rooms that were at an appropriate temperature. There is a Dunkin and a Starbucks outside so you ceb get your fix in the morning regardless of which one you prefer. Personally when I am on the road I run on Starbucks. Also, Brady’s Distillery is around the corner if you want to grab a nightcap before bed time.”

“The woman at the front desk durning my stay 1/19-1/22, was awesome. She was like the only one working in the evening and she's doing awesome. Made my food to-go and checked people in while answering the phone give that girl a riase.
Food is decent, rooms are clean and nice, prices aren't bad, breakfast is good and clean, wifi isn't spotty. Good place. Only issue was the sink not draining properly, MINOR inconvenience. Will stay here again”
