We decided to go with a flower pressing class with Hailey from Wildry and it was so much fun. Hailey educated us about the flower pressing process and different compositions when designing our pieces. They were so helpful and a great host.

“The gift shops at the mansion and estate of George Washington is big and sells an extensive variety of souvenirs and gifts, ranging from magnets to household items.
Yes it’s slightly expensive which is typical of gift shops but you would appreciate that the entire property is owned and run by a non-profit organisation and gets no support from the government.”

“Very fun store to visit. Nice selection of jewelry, crafts, and knickknacks. A great place to look for gifts. Also, weirdly a good selection of coffee, tea, and cocoa. All of those are covered by a rewards program if you go regularly. The spicy cocoa is particularly tasty.”

They also have a nice selection of Virginia (and made-in-Virginia) gifts, including local things like kitchen towels that say Fairfax on them, and a lot of cute things that are perfect for when you want to give a gift but don't want to give something really generic. Most stuff in the store is made in the USA, also a plus.”

I walked into A Mano in Georgetown and Mary took care of everything, quickly gave me ideas and ranges - a monogrammed throw was a big hit, along with inventive items you're not going to find anywhere else. Our sitter, Jeff, was courteous and seemed confident in his ability to handle our sometimes obstreperous 95 lbs German Shepherd. Unlike other walking services we have used, Jeff actually walked our dog for most of the 30 minute visit. Would definitely recommend.”
