“Not your typical thrift store. It is upscale but very well displayed and organized housewares, clothing, books, decor, etc donated by people to benefit Inova hospital.”

“I love this cute and quirky little shop hidden away in Hollin Hall. I go most Saturday mornings because the owner changes the inventory almost every week. I have found so many things I never expected to find there and I always enjoy learning from the owner about their history and uses. The prices are very reasonable and the owner encourages browsing and requests for items.”

“My kids are heavy into anime and manga so this place checks all the boxes for them. I am into the comics and retro gaming elements that they feature in the store. They feature a lot of items that I would have to wait to get from a comicon to get.”

“Christina was an angel!! Loved my experience here. Would only wish there was some more clothes for the younger crowd, but it's a small space and that's not their main target, so I understand. The Barbie life in the dreamhouse advertising was adorable, I had to send pics to friends!”

“If I could give Rubini Jewelers 10 stars, I would!!! With Joanna’s help, I had the MOST wonderful stress-free experience picking out/ designing my engagement ring! She let me swap out stones in order to get the perfect ring and helped us keep it all within our budget! Joanna was SO kind and patient. She is the BEST and the planet Earth is lucky to have her.Not to mention the craftsmanship was STUNNING to boot! I cannot wait to go back for our wedding bands.”

“I have gone to many consignment stores over the years, but Secondi remains to be my favorite and forever go to because of the professionalism, superior customer service and selection of outfits, and above all the kindness at the store. I often go consignment shopping by myself, and when I step of the changing room, I am greeted with so many encouraging thoughts- "wow, that dress looks great on you! You like Johnny Was? Let me find another top for you." Secondi is an amazing business and is a gift to not just Dupont Circle but Washington D.C. I can't recommend it enough.”

“D.C.'s gem for designer finds! Ella Rue offers amazing, high-quality pieces and the owners/ staff are welcoming and make you feel at home. My favorite stop in DC; you won't regret the visit!”

“This is a sweet little clothing and accessories store in the heart of Falls Church City. The selection is thoughtfully curated with popular premium brands, like Hannah Andersson. It's definitely a place to find nice, gently used clothes, especially for a young girl in your life. I'm a big believer in reducing waste and reusing items, so I'm glad to shop secondhand. Thrift stores can be super hit or miss when it comes to finding what you want. That's the upside of a store like this--instead of hunting through tons of random things, they've already vetted the selections.”

“This is a great place to get high quality, gently used kids' clothing! This place has been around a long time, although they did move from one unit in the shopping center to a new one in the past fife years or so. They do a great job of being selective about what they carry and pricing it appropriately. They have tons of my favorites including Hanna Anderson, Gap, Crew Cuts, Patagonia, and more. They have lots of great kids shoes as well--things that would normally be pricier, like Keen, Sperry, etc. I have not consigned with them although I probably should. One thing I really love is that they promote their items on Instagram (handle 529hollinhall) and you can even reserve and pay for items there. They are very active on there AP you can find what you want without having to do much browsing.”

“529 Kids Consign is a two-level store in Old Town Alexandria inside a rowhouse. My little family visited after the annual St. Patrick's Day parade and picked up a dress for $20 for our six-year-old. They have the used clothes well organized and sell other goodies like toys, etc. Service was helpful!”

“Small selection, but the best antique/consignment jewelry in D.C. I found my engagement ring here. INSANELY great deals, especially on diamond rings and higher-value pieces. The manager is so helpful and friendly!”

“Totally amazed by the cleanliness & organization of this store it made shopping so much more peaceful! The staff were all super friendly and knowledgeable. Most importantly the prices were very reasonable with great quality items. Can’t wait to shop here again soon! Telling all my girlfriends!”

“I enjoyed my *second* visit to this Old Town location of the local consignment chain, Current Boutique. Although I've been to the various other DC, VA, and the former MD location many times, this was my first time shopping in the Alexandria store in a long, long time! Immediately I can say that the staff at this store are so much nicer and more pleasant than the staff in all the other stores. These folks were welcoming, helpful (such as when I needed to get a dress of the mannequin), and patient (even when I decided to try on like 50 items that kept me in the fitting room until near closing time!). Even though most of what I tried on did not work for me, I thought the selection at this store was decent (and in some ways better than what's found at certain sister locations). All in all, I will definitely keep this place on my short list of stores to help me curate an amazing wardrobe at a fraction of the price!”

“My girlfriend and I stopped in while visiting Old Town this week. We immediately fell in love with the store. The owner, Eleanor, was just so pleasant to talk to and was so helpful. I’m not a fan of shopping but I even enjoyed myself! My girlfriend ended up buying two dresses. She can not stop talking about how great the store was! We definitely will be back!”

“The negative comments about the workers being “rude” “arrogant” confirmed I needed to stop by but everyone there was chill and helpful. Nice designer that’s nicely priced”

“I love coming here and browsing the beautiful pieces they have. The woman who owns the business is so kind and greets everyone with a warm welcome. The selection is great and there is a wide variety of designers high end and more affordable pieces. I highly recommend!”

“4 stars overall.Stellar Customer Service (Nancy & Joseph) and Items purchased were at a good price - 5 StarsSo I docked off a star due to the high prices on items in the store especially damaged items. My favorite items purchased were a real sterling silver bracelet with amethysts, aquamarines, and a druzy crystal for $6 and a non fiction history book for $2.Books were priced the way they would be priced in a used book store or Goodwill. The yellow and green tags deal on some of them cut the price down from 33% to 50% off. You get the seventh book free. I got 8 books for $10.I got a Mikasa bowl made in Japan and some silver cooking item tools for 33% off - $4I saw a sterling silver amber stone bracelet for $15 and Michael Kors bag for $50. The price and products were fair yet not good enough to sway me to buy them. Some items were not priced and could not be purchased.A definite go see thrift store. The sales are good. The customer service is excellent and helpful.”

“I have been here a couple times and they always have nice items. Went by today during the week and I guess they need to update their times because they were not open at 12 30 on a Tuesday - edited: well now I feel silly - I will have to check out their new location”
