Would give zero stars if I could. Always an extremely long line and then there's a 50/50 shot there's an issue with the car they give you. I swear they prey on people's desire not to wait in line again by giving cars out that are dirty, have poor tire pressure, or other issues/check engine lights.Showed up 45 minutes early for my rental today and I still won't get my car on time. Shame on Budget and the slow moving employees who work here.

I am highly disappointed in the treatment I received recently. I reserved and prepaid for a standard suv. I stood in line for 1.5 hours to get my rental . Did get a standard SUV? NO, I got a compact because a preferred customer complained his car was too small. When I asked for a refund for the difference I was told no and she actually said it’s only $6.00! It’s more like $25 and the principle of the matter!Do better Budget!

I recently encountered several challenges with Budget on my trip from Washington to Miami. Here's a summary of the issues:1. **Parking Spot Confusion**: I was first directed to a parking spot for the Premium SUV I reserved. However, upon reaching the spot, it was empty.2. **Incorrect Vehicle Class**: After the empty parking spot debacle, they handed me a Full Size SUV with all-terrain tires, not the Premium SUV I booked.3. **Misleading Information**: The manager stated both SUVs were of the same class with identical pricing. This was misleading as the Full Size SUV is priced lower.4. **Space Discrepancy**: The claim that the Nissan Armada has more room than the Ford Expedition Max or any other Premium SUV I initially booked was also misleading.5. **Wasted Time & Money**: To resolve the vehicle mix-up, I had to visit the Budget location thrice and incurred an additional 24-hour hotel stay expense.On the brighter side, I eventually received the Ford Expedition Max I initially requested. It turned out to be an awesome car for the long trip, meeting all my expectations.While I appreciated the final vehicle, the process to get there with Budget was more challenging than expected.

Buckle up, buttercup because we’re going for a ride. I rented a vehicle from Budget Car Rental today. Let me tell you how that went. I picked up the vehicle from Dulles Int’l airport this morning around 0100. I reserved my car 6 months ago, and picked up on time and on schedule. The vehicle I reserved was a full-size sedan, but what I was given was a mid-size crossover. Specifically a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross (which is a hateful, awful car on the best day). Driving down I95 leaving the airport I found the car had a VERY noticeable pull to the left, along with a vibration in the steering wheel. Driving this thing in the rain felt like trying to ride a rodeo bull through an antique store. Just ain’t possible. We got to our stop and parked it. Called first thing in the morning to try to get it exchanged, and was told to take it to any budget location to exchange. Took it to the nearest one, only to be told that they had ZERO cars available to rent (by the way, online it still said I could rent any size vehicle for pick up immediately). But what ever, I’m cool. They said to take it to the next closest location and they would DEFINITELY have a car for me to exchange. Drove 20 miles out of my way, in an obviously unsafe car only to be told that they ALSO have no cars. Both locations said the EXACT same thing: “corporate took seven of my cars this morning so I have nothing left to rent out”. Exact same line down to the number of cars taken. HUH?! Corporate just came and stole y’all’s cars?! BOTH OF YALL?! Please… So they directed me to call customer service to set up an exchange. Customer service says they have no way of seeing any locations inventory, gotta call roadside assistance. Roadside assistance tells me they can’t see inventory either but they will call around to try and find us an exchange. 20 minutes on hold and he come back and tells me the nearest available vehicle is OUT OF THE STATE. But he’ll get us an Uber! Oh, but he can’t guarantee they’ll have a car for us. All of this on top of the fact that they claimed the car had 3k less miles on it when we picked up than it actually did (61k instead of 64k) and the car was FILTHY when we got it. Stains everywhere, old food, BOOGERS! ACTUAL GATDAMN BOOGERS! I will NEVER do business with these people again.

Beware and ensure you know where to return the vehicle. On September 30 I flew onto Dulles International on a flight from Hawaii. I went to the Budget kiosk to get my car. After waiting over an hour to speak with a representative I was exhausted. I advise the female I would need the vehicle until 8 October and would return the vehicle on the morning due to my flight out at 1230.. She advised me she annotationed an a.m. return. After returning the vehicle to Dulles and returning home I checked my receipt and found a $299 charge for returning the vehicle to where I rented it. I was told by the Budget individual when I called them I was suppose to return the vehicle to Washington International. I was never advised this. I told the person on the phone, I told the kiosk rep that I was flying out of Dulles. I would have never rented the car if I would have known I couldn't return it to where I rented it. After numerous calls my money was never returned. I will NEVER rent from Budget again!

Long wait to get the car. Offered a mini van when I’d reserved and pre paid for a compact vehicle. Was finally given a Toyota Corolla. Car was filthy. Could barely see out of dirty windshield, and — you guessed it — it had no window washer fluid. I question how well this fleet of vehicles is maintained. If they can’t even bother to keep fluids topped off and cars clean, are they keeping them safe to drive?

Check in was not a good experience after we got off our flight to get into a vehicle. Took way way too long. The agents seem like they didn't want to be there. The agent I had was more worried about trying to upsell me on all the extras and he was getting me in my vehicle. They did not go over anything on the vehicle at all. Just told me to go outside and get in it and go We were not able to get the vehicle we reserved so we had to settle for something else. I will definitely think twice about using budget again. I may not have a choice in the future but I'll try not to if possible. I rented from Budget several other times from different airports and I had a good experience, but this experience wasn't so much.

I should have stayed with Enterprise. This Budget will ruin your budget. Unpleasant staff, dishonest service. Their total charges will rip you off big time.

If I could rate this lower I would. Long lines, no urgency, gave me the wrong car and am now not allowed to leave the lot because my car that was in my space should not have been rented. Ummmmmmmm

Check-in was a total disaster. Two agents working and fifty people in line. It took 1 1/2 hours of waiting until we got our car. Totally unacceptable for Budget. Once we got to the front of the line, check-in was easy and I was quite satisfied with the pick-up I rented, but the 1 1/2 hour of waiting in line after a trans-Atlantic flight was totally unacceptable. You need to do better Budget!

Had a tear in my driver's seat, wanted to be sure management knew it, they upgraded me, in the next truck, I had a piece of plastic come off with this 4runner and they said not to worry,"thank you for letting us know, we will make a note of it so you won't be charged as it was pouring rain out the day of rental and was not conducive to a detailed pre-inspection!" I had prepaid for a tankfull of gas but was only a 7 mile commute and filled the take for less than 1/2 tank for the week. .they still charged for the full tank, I spoke to customer service they fixed the change...well done!

Absolutely incredible. The place was packed and line not moving and one of the people working here just takes off. There are simply no words to describe the hellish experience here. Stay away at all cost!

The behavior of the Budget Car Rental Office at Dulles Airport was essentially criminal. Despite turning my rental vehicle in with a full tank of gas, as I had filled the gas tank up moments before I returned the vehicle to Budget, and emphatically stating to the service representative at the time of rental and checking that I did not want the Budget refueling service on the rental agreement, my credit card was charged with an additional $164.00 for fuel by Budget as a refueling expense. Had I not checked my credit card activity a few days later, I would not have known that I was charged for a service that I had not received. When I called the Budget counter at Dulles Airport to inquire about the charge, I was placed on hold for approximately 45 minutes. The gentleman did not tell me why I had been improperly charged. All that he said was that the matter was being taken care of. Ultimately, I did receive the overcharged $164.00 back on my credit card. Regrettably, overcharging upon return of rental cars, appears to be widespread at many rental car agencies. This is about the fourth time that I have caught the overcharges from multiple rental car agencies. I am still trying to retrieve $200.00 from Enterprise Car rental in Frankfurt Germany's Airport. They will not respond to my queries.

Checkout took 1.5 hrs and our truck was not even available though we reserved it weeks in advance. We ended up receiving a van (which was comfortable) but just wanted to get out of there after spending so much time there waiting in line. Returning the vehicle was easy and quick, which we appreciated.

If you plan ahead...go somewhere else! They move at a snails pace and must hate their jobs because there is zero interaction with their guests. Whether you're here for Budget or Avis this place is an actual Shit Show!
