The paint area sold me expired paint. I trusted the workers there to mix and give me good paint to use in my house. I do not know anything about paint or what it should smell like. Woke up the day after using it with my house smelling like rancid vomit (it did not smell like this while I was painting my walls). After doing some research it's because the paint was expired. This should have been something the person mixing my paint caught and now because of their negligence I am in this situation.

Literally spent 40 minutes waiting in nail aisle. One guy said he’d be back after he helped someone in plumbing, obviously he never came back. Finally got another associate to get someone else who also never came, I wish this was an abnormal experience. Unfortunately it’s not

Absolutely horrible experience. Not only did they rent me a BROKEN TRUCK. (TRUCK BED DOES NOT OPEN) I drove it to Williamsburg, had to drive it all the way back, a broken truck was completely useless to me. I was trying to pick up a washer and dryer. Of course, it gets worse. When I return it for a refund...I ask them to refund it in cash, not my debit card (as it takes 1-2 weeks to go back on the card) she says okay and then STILL REFUNDS IT TO MY DEBIT CARD. She doesn't care and is like OH WELL. I wanted it in cash, so that I could go to another company to rent a truck. 0/10. I will never, ever shop there again.

Another horrible experience with yet another location. Told my husband to stop dealing with these people. But just loves the pain! Took over 30 minutes in Curbside yesterday. The app said we had picked up our items, but we waited, waited, called in, told to wait some more, waiting, charged up a whole vape waiting until call-in #2. Some kid finally shows up and my husband asks him why it took 30 minutes. He said we didn't "check-in". My husband asked him why the app said we had picked up the order then? He was condescending AF with that passive aggressive attitude when caught being wrong and started getting argumentative, calling my husband a liar, instead of "checking on that for ya" like a trained employee would. So, here comes the real brain trust manager. He came wrong too. "Justin" claimed we were "berating" him, but calling the customer "a liar" while arguing with him would never provoke that, now would it? So, now we have Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. We cancelled the order and made them take it back. We are just paying off the Synchrony account and closing their account with "US" on Monday. As a top 10% consumer, we are choosing to fire Lowes permanently. We continuously don't like their employees or how they handle their own incompetence.

Lowes has been swirling down the drain over the past decade because of so many "adjustments " with staffing, products and policies. They've discontinued reliable brands in exchange for cheaper products; although no fault of theirs, major label products have to be returned because of defects or broken, sometimes several times; the delivery service is fast, however, both times what they brought me was wrong so I had to load it up and return to the store making a trip anyway; I'm told online shopping has absolutely nothing to do with the store I chose in the drop-down box that tells me what isle the item is in, that if I have a problem, I must contact online Lowes for resolution which is inconvenient and makes no sense; the quality of lumber has drastically fallen with mold on hacks of knotted/split/splintered/crooked boards; finding an associate to help is like pulling chicken teeth and I can't find any of those annoying call buttons that used to be located in every department....what's up with that?; purchasing something boxed to get home and open only to find someone has replaced a new item with a used, nasty one and sealed the box back undetected. RETURNS should verify what they're handing money back for. I won't even go into the issues with self check out. Still more selection than hardware stores but no where close to the service and personal attention received in those small hardware stores.
