“It’s been a year and we still appreciate this place. Are you looking for a fresh meat market with reasonable prices? Try Mike’s Country Meat Market. I found this place years ago due to taking an alternate route back into town. This place in my opinion has a better quality & selections of meats & prices than most meat markets in the surrounding areas. It’s about a 20-25 mile drive from Newport News, depending on what part of NN you’re driving from. I encourage you check the website for store hours and to go when the market first opens because they sell out quickly and the early people get the most. (chicken, pork, turkey, beef & seafoods and sometimes rabbit, quail, duck & frog legs etc.) A thumbs up if this review is helpful.”
“They have meals for sale. Pig feet, turkey wings, fried chicken, pork chops, mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese, greens, cornbread, yok, plus more. You get meat, 2 sides, cornbread and a soda for $12.99. You can get food until 6 pm. Of course there is lottery and a regular convenience store.”

“If you don't shop here ... that is too bad. Great prices on what they carry. Fresh produce that screams eat me now. Bring your own box/bag, and enjoy the quality and savings.
P.S. Our dog will only eat ALDI dog food.”
