“On June 24, 2023 I had the pleasure of attending a wedding held at Rennee's Celebration Center. Rennee's prides themselves as being a one stop shop for all of your event needs. Located at 178 East Washington Street in Suffolk, Rennee's has been a city staple since 2018. I recently attended a wedding at this venue and enjoyed the festivities. I'm not sure who did the decorations but walking in was great because the colors blended well with the initial decor of the building. I wasn't sure what was covered concerning the layout though. I would have liked to see the bride and groom table in front of the mirror making them center of attention. One of my objections was that I assisted with the setup of the cake table and it was noticeably unstable. Thankfully the desserts did not fall over, but it proved difficult for the bride and groom to cut their wedding cake. Second there weren't enough plates for the dessert course. I wouldn't want to worry about plates in the middle of my event. Once under way, I theoretically want to be worry free. My personal opinion the venue could provide plates and cutlery that way charge the customer for providing them. Not many people want to worry about a lot when planning an event and the customer will pay for the convenience. The food provided was cornbread, mac and cheese, chicken alfredo, fried fish, meatballs, collard greens, and baked chicken. All of the food was delicious, presented professionally, and well seasoned. There were no complaints when it came to the food. Rennee's did an excellent job catering the meal for the wedding. Given the entire event, I would refer other people to Rennee's as well as use them myself if I had an event approaching.”
